His stats are “great”. He was like the 3rd highest rated passer this year and is always right up there with the league leaders in every important stat.

And this is why all the panthers fans using the same kinda argument for DJ Moore drives me nuts…neither guys are game changers, nor do defensive coordinators get worried having to play against them.

I pull for whoever is the qb on this team.  Cam, Darnold, Teddy, Cam, Howell, Pickett, Willis etc.  But there is no way in hell I will ever pull for my team if that ass clown Cousins is under center.  I will not watch the games, I will actively pull for us to lose and I am damn sure not making my yearly pilgrimage from New Bern to Charlotte to see a game.   fug that noise.

lololololololol

His teammates hate him.  His coach hates him.  He is anti gay and some sort of weird Jesus freak.  We dont want him anywhere near Charlotte.

You aint winning a SB without the support of your team.  He is not a leader, he is a douchebag

I was weirded out by the dude ever since he got press for driving around that creepy van.

I knew not to bring Sam here, so that counts for something. 1-0 against those guys.

Yep, and I knew not to draft a DT instead of a stud LT when we didnt have one.  I knew not to give Anderson a huge deal.  I knew not to give cmac a huge deal.  I knew not to trade down and let talent pass by.  I knew not to draft a wr in the 2nd that was already hurt.  I knew not to trade a 3rd for a head case.   I knew not to take a corner when an all pro was staring at us in the face.  I knew not to give bridgewater a huge deal and I also knew we should have just bitten the bullet and rolled him out there last year

so yeah dude I do know more then these fuging morons

I will 100% put $100k in cash escrow right now and put my posts on 2019, 2020 and 2021 draft picks, free agents (or lack their of), cap savings/releases and everything else up against what we’ve actually done and easily prove that we’d have a more talented team with gobs more cap space and future picks than we have now if I made the overall strategy in personnel.

Hell yeah, the dummy doesnt realize there is a search function on here that we can back up our claims

would you give up the 6th for Cousins?

IDK bro. I’m not the GM or coach so it doesn’t really matter what I think. I do know that I’d rather have him than Pickett or Willis or any of the other jabroni QBs in this years draft. Personally with where we sit now I think we should take the top LT on the board at 6, and I guess roll it back with Sam. Then next year this time when we inevitably have a Top 3 pick in a much better QB draft, do we take our franchise guy. But this is about Cousins and my point here is that he’s not nearly as bad as most are making him out to be.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
