What's this? A coach shouldering some responsibility and not railroading his players???

Arians won it the year before and he throws his players under the bus all the time

I mean, Arians really didn't have to do much "Coaching" while he had Tom Brady as his QB. Depending on what happens this offseason we will see how his coaching is now that he doesn't have Tom on offense.

Wanna bet?

I do. It may take a couple years but they will be contenders again very soon. Burrow and Chase are no joke along with some other WR's they have and Mixon as the RB as well. If they actually have the ability to put together a good offensive line they will be nasty on offense. Chase who looked amazing already as a rookie will only get better each year if he stays healthy by the way. They have finally started building a real world good team. If their coaching staff is better than ours (shouldn't be very hard) they will probably actually be able to field and develop a decent offensive line. If their line was even "pretty decent" I think they would have won the super bowl this year. Oh and if Eli Apple hadn't fallen asleep on defense that might have helped too but bottom line is they will be very competitive and willing to bet be playing in the super bowl again within a few years if they continue with good coaching that our head coach could only dream of.

It'd probably help if the interview process actually looked into issues like this and asked questions related to how a head coach approaches adversity, failure, etc.

I mean, I'd take that over "He sounds smart, I've got good feelings and these meatballs are delicious. Let's hire him!" 🙄

Perhaps those were the Jack Daniels soaked meatballs. Got em'!

"We just have to be better as a unit,” Taylor said, via Bengals.com. “I think that we’ll just look to improve the team any way that we can and not specific to one necessary group. The offensive line helped us get to the Super Bowl. They gave us opportunities to go win the Super Bowl. Everything always falls on them statistically, but that’s not always the case. There are play calls that could be better to help put them in a better position. There is a lot that plays into all that. They were an offensive line that helped us get to the Super Bowl and gave us opportunities to win and I think they should be commended for that."

The whole damn world saw the Bengals' OL play like poo all season and that went a long way in the Bengals ultimately coming up just short but Zac Taylor doesn't blame them. He puts the responsibility on himself. Shocking for a Panthers fan so accustomed to watching Rivera and Rhule throw their players under the bus.

🍺 to Zac Taylor.

Cam does it. Even when others obviously have butter fingers and weak gameplans. He always says he needs to do better. Congrats to Taylor. He may actually have a future especially after a Superbowl.

This guy we've got. The amateur athletics coach is the king of blaming others for his own mistakes.

Revisiting this because Albert Breer commented on it.

Specifically, he said this:

You might be surprised to know how far accountability like this gets a coach with his players. Good on Zac Taylor for taking full responsibility. And it was also interesting how (Raheem) Morris went out of his way to defend Taylor on this one, when he and I talked through that sequence.
