Dude, that would make me feel the exact OPPOSITE.

We would have to give up way too much to get him and we are not one franchise QB away from being a winning team. Not only would we give up future draft assets to acquire him, we would then have to allocate 50+ million to him, money that we don't have, and even if we did, it would involve cutting any decent players to support him.

This would be another short sighted move that screws the team in the long term. I would probably give up at that point.

Yep that's pretty much how we all feel.

But you didn't actually answer the thread's main question.

What are YOU actually pumped for in this coming season?

Brian Burns

CMac

DJ Moore

Chinn

Horn

Etc...

This team is not nearly as bad as most of you guys want  to think it is.

If Rhule becomes a delegator and on field team builder. He allows his coaches and players to dictate the play and culture while he simply guides it. Hitting on 6 leaders in the draft and free agency that all align with a championship culture.

That would excite me and give me some hope. Doubt it happens. He has his hands in too much, has an ego that competes with his players, and keeps pushing a culture of self-deprication.

The team is already screwed long term because the rebuild was suppose to happen 3 years ago, so who really cares.

Burns is a very good young pass rusher but we are waiting to see if he will get to the next level ie consistently dominant.

CMC can't stay on the field. Nothing else in this conversation matters until that happens.

DJ Moore is a stud but also like any player has some things he can fine tune.

Chinn is a stud who this staff for some reason saw fit to switch positions.

Horn is promising but three games is not enough of a story to tell yet.

All in all you would see more positivity if the braintrust of this franchise had begun investing in this offensive line from jump street. But instead we just picked up where Rivera and previous staffs left off when we overinvested in defense while the oline declined even more which was an issue for years with the best quarterback this franchise has seen. THAT is the biggest contributor right now to the fan fatigue you are seeing. Bumbling our way from one bad QB to another is the cherry on top. Invest in the offense go big or go home. Until then fans don't want to hear it. Plain and simple.

Lmao it’s really bad u just can’t admit it. Burns misses a lot of sacks and runs by the play a bunch shouldn’t have been a pro bowler imo, CMAC who’s that, someone that’s played 6 games in like 2 years, DJ isn’t a number 1 wr, Chinn is being used wrong by this staff, Horn we don’t know what we have and should’ve been a different pick at the time, etc well there’s not really an etc. just keep being in denial but it’s true this team isn’t that good.

Call me an optimist, but if we make meaningful additions to the OL, then that would get me to look forward to the season. Obviously, we're not gonna do a whole lot with Rhule and Darnold here but if we can end this season with Rhule gone, and get a QB next offseason then hopefully we'll be on the right track. But I understand everyone's pessimism at the current moment.

    • One has a proven, offensive-minded, Super Bowl winning head coach along with a top 5 OL + defense. He's being protected and getting the ball back not having to chase the other teams. The other had Frank Reich + Thomas Brown their rookie year with a bottom 5 defense as well as a bottom 5 OL that gave up the 2nd most sacks against a rookie QB ever. The sophomore season is being ran with a top 5 OL but also with a rookie HC (that has just one year of OC experience) and a bottom 5 defense still. The Broncos defense has allowed over 20pts just three times this season (26 vs. SEA (L), 23 vs. LAC (L), 41 vs. BAL (L)). Meanwhile, the Panthers have had ONE game where the defense gave up less than 20pts (vs. NYG (W)).   I'm not sure how folks couldn't expect Bo Nix to statistically perform better given their incredibly different situations. With that said, I didn't expect Nix to keep ascending as impressively as he has this season. Hopefully his arc will give other older college QBs a better shot, especially given the recent media blitz against the NFL regarding how development of the QB position in the league seems to be non-existent. Hopefully Bryce continues to improve as well, of course.
    • “You can learn a lot in 10 games,” Nix said. “[I’m] still learning, still growing, but just finding ways to execute the play that’s called, no matter what it is: run play, pass play. It doesn’t matter. Just finding the right way to go with the ball.” To that point, Nix noted how his developing partnership with head coach Sean Payton has helped Denver’s offense get to the next level. “To be honest, I think at the beginning, you kind of make the NFL bigger than what it actually is,” Nix said when asked where he feels he’s made the most strides. “These players are really good, but at the same time, you have really good players on your level. I think simplifying the game, trying to play as fast as possible, and finding a completion, which is what we’ve been able to do here recently. “I think as we’ve gone on, Coach and I have found a good rhythm of what we both like, what we can kind of put out there on the field, and what we can execute. Then the guys have kind of adapted to it, found our roles within the offense, and executed at a high level. It’s just all about slowing the game down and processing things in a manner that you can handle. Just kind of see one or two things, and let those guys take you to where the ball is supposed to be.” -Bo Nix From what I'm gathering regarding Bryce, the Panthers entered this season with a reset mindset. It's Young's rookie year, which explains the benching. Now, we're beginning to see the development of Canales and Young's offense. Slow development but we're winning 😃
    • Bix has more tds through his first 11 games than bryce has his entire career....no comparison at all he made amazing throws during his first games his decision making just keeps getting better.  Young does not have the physical ability ro make the rhrows bo makes
