That was one of the most boring Super Bowls on record and the officiating was horrendous. It’s apparently now more obvious than ever that the nfl is now a spin off of the WWE.

Did we watch the same game? I was engaged from the jump. And I can only think of two bad calls for the game, one caused a Bengals TD, and one led to a Rams TD.

It was bad because they didn't call anything until the Rams needed to score.  Just call the whole game consistently please.

Yup, more flags in the final 5 minutes than the rest of the game, I think all but one was on the Bengals.  The PI on the Bengal's LB Wilson was complete BS.  If that was PI, then 90% of PBUs are PIs.

It did have that feel, but the PI was the only blatantly wrong call. And if we look back to the no call on Tee Higgin's TD, it's a wash.

I would have said that about last year's Super Bowl, not this year's

I can see in Real Time that the ref missed the Cincy TD against Ramsey.  They just missed it but the one at the end of the game was absolutely terrible.  Both teams were playing that way the whole game and for the refs to meddle in the outcome that was was wrong.

The Rams had the better offense team in the 2nd half but the Bengals Defense was standing toe to toe with the Ram defense.    It was a shame that 3rd down call was made.   The 2nd hold on Kupp was legit but I feel the refs ruined a great game by getting involved.

Had the video replay been allow in a challenge like it was years ago they'd would have reversed it.

But like I said.   In Real Time I can see how they missed it.  I couldn't tell until after the replay.

I saw what I thought was a push in real time that knocked Ramsey down. I didn’t see it was the facemask until replay.

Agree.  I get that they missed that call, but IMO the entire game should have the same level of leniency when it comes to making calls.  If the rules change because its late in the game, then the refs are deciding the game as much as the players, and that's no good.

Name a QB over the last decade that has made it to the HOF with one pro bowl

I’ll wait

I can't believe I'm having to explain to you that the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. It's not a surprise that someone who played QB for the Detroit Lions, the worst franchise in NFL history for most of his career is not going to get elected to the Pro Bowl every year. He played his entire career in the same conference as Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson who are all locks for the hall of fame.

He's at almost 50,000 yards passing for his career and he's only 33. He's had more 4th quarter comebacks that any other quarterback since he came in the league (despite playing for the Lions). He had three more of them in the playoffs this year, including one against Brady and now has a Super Bowl championship to top it off. Two or three more seasons with a deep playoff run or another championship and I don't know how you can exclude him, especially since Philip Rivers and Eli Manning are likely getting in.

That’s what I thought, you couldn’t find one so you go on this diatribe about the Lions.

Apparently Stafford is without blame for all those bad lions teams. Stafford was the garbage time king for a good 5 to 7 years of course his stats are gonna look good, not to mention he’s on pace to obliterate the pass attempt record. The rams made the SB with Goff ffs, anything short of a ring would been a massive failure.

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
