Panthers 2010 Schedule

Do you have a link where you got the 2010 Panthers schedule? I searched the internet and can't find one. Thanks
there isn't one.

this is following the rotation that has been in existence since the last CBA. the two other teams that we will be playing will be from the NFCN and NFCE and it will be teams ranked in their division where the panthers are.

all of this isn't set in stone but it's most likely unless another CBA is reached and they decide on another rotation.

Cardinals (how many years in a row

If they continue to finish in the same place in the NFC West as we do in the South, we'll play them every year. We played them this year because we both finished at the top of our respective divisions in 2008. Last year, we played them since we were both #2 in our divisions in 2007. Next year, we play the entire NFC West (PS just like in 2007) which includes them.

Way too early to start stacking up how hard our schedule is going to be next year. Going by records right now, the out of division and AFC games look like one of the easier draws we could have. Pittsburgh and Baltimore both stand a good chance to miss the playoffs and we all know how bad Cleveland is this year. The NFC West is similarly terrible. Seattle needs a total rebuild, St. Louis is as bad as Cleveland and SF hasn't done anything since starting the season hot.

So, going by THIS year's standards the schedule for next year looks a lot easier. But it shouldn't be evaluated until at least a quarter of the 2010 season has been played.

far from official but most likely.

here's a little bit about how they came up with it.

The new scheduling format includes the following elements:

· There will be an increased common-opponent emphasis with every team in a division playing against 14 common opponents.

· All teams will play each other on a regular basis, home and away, for a more consistent presentation of attractive games, eliminating the many schedule aberrations of the past.

· Teams are guaranteed to play all nondivision opponents in their conference at least once every three years, and at home at least once every six years.

· Every AFC team will play every NFC team once every four years, and at home once every eight years.

· A team’s record from the previous year will have less of a bearing on its schedule, with only two (rather than four) opponents being based on the previous year’s standing. Thus, the so-called “easy” fifth-place schedules are eliminated.

· The division in which a team resides will be less of a factor in a team’s won-loss record with 10 of 16 games each year being against non-division teams.

Under the new scheduling formula, every team within a division will play 16 games as follows:

· Home and away against its three division opponents (6 games).

· The four teams from another division within its conference on a rotating three-year cycle (4 games).

· The four teams from a division in the other conference on a rotating four-year cycle (4 games).

· Two intraconference games based on the prior year’s standings (2 games). These games will match a first-place team against the first-place teams in the two same-conference divisions the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place, and fourth-place teams in a conference will be matched in the same way each year.

i see no reason that they would mess around with it barring the addition of any teams or restructuring of divisions.

Assuming that we finish third in the South and the Bears and Giants finish third in their divisions, here is how the home/away breakdown would go:

Home games:

Atlanta

New Orleans

Tampa Bay

Baltimore

Cincinnati

Arizona

St. Louis

Chicago

Away games:

Atlanta

New Orleans

Tampa Bay

Cleveland

Pittsburgh

San Francisco

Seattle

NY Giants

And that schedule is pretty easy. We almost have as many games against teams with 1-9 records on that list (Tampa Bay x2, St. Louis, Cleveland) as we do against teams with winning records period (New Orleans x2, Cincinnati, Arizona, NY Giants, Pittsburgh).

That is what I was thinking, why is everyone saying this is a tough schedule? It looks like pie compared to this seasons. We all know how much Fox locks in on easy seasons, maybe next season he can find a way to get more W's than L's...and hopefully please for the love of god ...with a new QB.
