Worst Kept Secret at the Senior bowl (Panthers Interest in Pickett)

Meh. If we take a QB I'll hope for the best whoever he is. I don't have much faith in this regime to develop a young quarterback. Even if it's Willis who I like. But the hype may be getting carried away here already. We should all adjust our expectations and not forget the circumstances.

There are some great looking Uglies this year.

And I'm worried that just like so many other years, we're going to miss out on them 🤬

This is a really awesome OL class in the top rounds, not just the top-3.  Although the top-3 tackles in Ekwonu, Neal & Cross  are top talent in their own right.

Kenyon Green (LOVE), Linderbaum (LOVE), Kinnard (LOVE), Zion Johnson, Salyer, it's such a good interior class.

How is Fitts going to save the team from itself? Either he's a yes man with no power, or he's part of the problem based off the trades and free agents that has been made since he's joined the team.

He’s not on the hot seat next year. The entire coaching staff is.

Will they force him to make draft choices that are not in the long term interest of the team? That’s the question.

Thier job is to win next year or they’re gone. His job is to keep the team competitive over the long term.

Well in a QB year Rhule went DB

so in a OT year he will go somewhere else

Yes, I trust Fitterer much more so than a bunch of guys who know their jobs are on the line.    Rhule and his entire staff understand they need to get players who will help them next season, not guys who are best for the team in the distant future.   The coaches Panther lifetime is 12 months long.  That's it.  Anything after then is irrelevant to them.  And that timeline is just a recipe for disaster with impulsive, short sighted decisions.

It's another reason to justify taking player control away from Rhule.

overall I think GMs and HCs should be tied together.  Exceptions to that but overall I think it is best.

find a pair that works and give them a run.  When it ends, it ends.   Not real keen on Rhule flaming out and then keeping a GM that flamed out with Rhule.

I think I'm coming around to this. I'm largely someone that thinks Fitterer isn't even 10% the problem that Rhule is, but I also think he knew when accepting the job he would be playing second fiddle to Rhule. If this season is a trainwreck, fire them both by Thanksgiving, find your GM and let him pick his coach.

🤣 Some of these responses.

I have an open mind. Not my first choice, but...Gotta take a swing to hit or miss.

We have a one pick in the top 100….and are going to draft a day 2 caliber QB with a top 10 pick?

that’s a swinging at a pitch in the dirt
