I fully agree that race unfortunately plays a role in these things, but it may be more difficult to discern with a candidate like Bieniemy that doesn't seem to have a clear-cut resume. No doubt though that it hasn't stopped other hires before.

Kevin OConnel was only an OC for 2 years and didn't call the plays in LA but let me guess...he interviewed well!! we all know what's going on her u can deny it all you want

Since you mentioned it, O'Connell did call plays in Washington in 2019. Again though I haven't said anything about any other candidates, previously acknowledged that race may be involved, and am just interested in some more detailed perspective for him to be an HC given the seemingly-nebulous responsibilities and confounding factor Reid's historical offenses.

Yea he called plays in Washington and guess what....they were ranked LAST IN THE NFL he was terrible at it!!!! No matter how you slice it Eric B was more qualified for the job PERIOD!!

Why do you want Bienemy? He doesn't call plays, he doesn't design the offense they run, and they have Patrick Mahomes who may surpass Brady as the GOAT within the next 10 years.

I thought he showed good adjustments with their offense this year, how much of that was Reid who knows but another Reid disciple in Pederson won a Super Bowl. I don't really want Bieniemy all that much but he's the best of what's realistically available right now if Rhule were to jump for college at this point in the process. That ship has sailed though with Harbaugh staying in Michigan so it doesn't really matter. I like Flores as well but with him suing the league he's not getting hired so he's not a realistic option.

And another hire Mike McDaniel with ONE season as an OC where he didn't call the plays but got hired as a Head Coach stay in denial mode

What am I in denial about? All I asked was to share thoughts on what makes him qualified beyond 'Chiefs offense good.' I've already acknowledged that race may unfortunately be playing a part.
