I am really impressed with this hire.  The guy is outstanding. 

Overall a lot of good experience added to the Carolina coaching staff.  Which was sorely needed.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if one of the conditions for the hire was that Campen gets the #6 pick for whatever OL he wants.

Maybe the Panthers will have an NFL offense this year vs a hodgepodge of inconsistency. If McAdoo and Campen are running the offense there may be a slight glimmer of hope. Maybe the Panthers can win in spite of Rhule.

I'm skeptical that Rhule has wised up in a matter of weeks.

Perhaps now having a former NFL HC/OC with years of experience on staff to mentor him has helped? 

I'm certainly not joining the Panthers as their new OC unless I've got final say on the people hired to assist me.

Rhule might have been NFL naive when he took over the Panthers but I don't think he's completely stupid.   If he has any self-awareness at all, Rhule must have known he needed more experienced guys to help him lead the team next season.  

I also wouldn't be surprised if his boss Tepper nudged him in that direction as well.

Its a really good hire IMO. I am surprised the Texans let him go. Maybe he will bring out some toughness in our OL.

Word was they were trying to keep him.

He may have been on an expired contract though. Hard to say.
