I like sewell but he isn't better than Chase regardless of positional need

I don't think the story has been written for either of them, but one position is sexy, and one isn't. It's too easy to say Chase is better than Sewell based on their position. But, regardless of positional need, Sewell was considered the better player on most big boards.

This time last year Jaycee was mocked in the early 2nd, Lance was a borderline 1st, Zach Wilson was in the teens. There is quite a bit of pre draft to happen before stuff is set.

If Stingley, Gardner, Hamilton are as special as everyone says I think they all go top 10 and the OL slide. 1-2 QBs are gonna go top 10. Ojabo may slide in there.

My top 12 would look like this:

1. Jax - Thibodeaux

2. Lions - Pickett (I don’t think it’s the right pick but it’s the Lions).

3. Hou - Hutchinson (historically this franchise LOVES big time DL. He’s the next in line).

4. Jets - Stingley (trying to recreate Revis island).

5. Seahawks (via Giants) - Gardner

6. WFT (via Panthers) - Willis (RR finds his future at QB)

7. Seahawks - Evan Neal (they need to replace Duane Brown).
** I also think the Hawks could go get Garoppolo if they trade Wilson as in this scenario.
8. ATL - Hamilton (Falcons needs a safety and Hamilton fits the need and BPA).

9. Green Bay (via Denver) - Garrett Wilson (Davante and Rodgers are both out to Denver via trade and FA).

10. Jets - Ekwonu - Jets are patient and get their final piece to an elite OL for Zach Wilson.

11. CAR - Charles Cross (Panthers move down and still get BPA, two extra picks this year and a position of need).

*** I think they would use the assets to move back into position to get either Sam Howell or Matt Corral as WFT would have to trade pick 42. Panthers could trade 2022 42 and 2023 2nd round and a 4th round pick to try and get back into the bottom of the 1st round.

Didn’t they draft a LT the year before Burrow though? Jonah Williams

Yes but look at this starting line

jonah williams LT 1st rd pick

quinten Spain guard undrafted FA

trey Hopkins undrafted FA

hakeem adeniji 6th rd pick

isiah prince 6th rd pick (Miami)

the fact burrow made this work into a Super Bowl team is insane.

I can’t stress enough that this is not normal. Burrow is just really special. We absolutely need to snag a qb and I’m on board with grabbing one at 6 but we need to throw draft picks and FA money at the line as well because what burrow has done here is the exception not the norm. Like usually you would need an elite defense to counteract shitty oline play but they don’t even have that. Burrow has just been incredible in big moments and the defense has been opportunistic.

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
