There was one coach that could get the best out of Winston and that was Payton.  Bringing Winston here would bring a better arm but a far worse interception ratio then Sam.

I mean if we don’t go draft and are ditching the Sam experience (somehow, please figure it out Sal/Fit), then the options get pretty hilarious.

Trubisky, Foles, Winston, Dalton, Mullens, Kyle Allen, Brandon Allen..it’s absurdly bad.

It would suck to strap cap to Jimmy, Cousins or Carr (although do like him).

We are in quite the pickle and I don’t trust these dudes one but minus maybe Sal figuring out contracts while weighing appropriate future capital. And this is why we cycle through all these names. Rummaging the league litter.

Its why I keep thinking we bite it and draft a QB because there really is limited options at this point. That’s a better path for these guys to save face over another retread (fans may hate it though but we hate most things haha)

Jamesis is better but not by a lot.  He's pretty much like Darnold.  Has the physical talent but makes terrible decisions on the field.  It wouldn't be that large of an upgrade imo.

TBH i would have taken him over Teddy during that whole dibalicle.

It would have been the same result, but instead of checking down and choking in the 4th, Jameis would be throwing picks and having tantrums. It would have been MUCH more entertaining and about 55 milllion dollars cheaper.

The sooner we all accept that next season is going to be a train wreck of epic proportions the better off we'll all be.  The last thing I want is for this staff to bring in a bunch of guys who end up slowing down the process for whomever we bring in when Rhule is finally fired.

Well, the games would at least be a lot more entertaining with Jameis Winston. I'd rather watch Winston throw it to DJ or Robbie in double coverage than Sam throwing the ball into the back of his lineman.

In my opinion, JW was a statement about Payton's ego.  He thought, since he coached Brees, that he was the QB whisperer.  I mean, he did do well with Bridgewater, so there could be something to it. 

The successful NFL QB has a good line in front of him and a noodle between his ears.  JW was as good as he is ever going to be in New Orleans and he sucked.
