Alabama game didn't help. Needs a good week at the Senior Bowl.

I don’t think he was really bad or anything. Sacked like 7 times, Cinci’s line got dominated but managed to not make mistakes although couldn’t make anything really happen.

If the talent surrounding him argument comes into play with Willis (IE when he played Corral and was lost), he still had games against UL Monroe and even the Raging Cajuns where he was just downright bad.

I guess the rocket arm and upside factors in THAT much nowadays. I’m just surprised.

Someone is going to take him in the top 10. He is worth it.

You are probably correct but he will need a lot of work and time IMO.  Obviously some skills there but a gamble on greatness for sure.

He worries me as a passer pretty much in every aspect except pure arm strength

Also, very worrisome that he couldn’t win the #2 QB slot at Auburn before he transferred

We know. But you don't want to go through the list of 1st round OL busts over the last two decades. OL used to be one of the safest 1st round picks a team could make but they has gotten dumped on its head in the past 20 years.

That's all I'm saying here. That "OL safe pick" myth is dead.

Oline picks in the top 10ish are far less likely to bust.   I already did a post on this detailing it.

    • That’s a book of the great life that the Panthers have had. So great to look back on the great players and seasons that we have had. But I think the book could have been twice the size. We have had a good 30 years, up and down the standings. i know we are in a bad spot right now, but hopefully before long we will be climbing back towards that Super Bowl championship
    • LmAO ..it does not make any sense whatsoever why a team that is currently 2-0 would  trade their backup Qb to a team that is 0-2 & in the same NFC conference ? & what is Seattle going to do if Geno Smith is injured ? wouldn't a team that is  currently 2-0 & is quiet  possibly going to the playoffs  want a decent plan B that already knows how to operate their system & has some form of chemistry with their players  , like I said before this is the NFL &teams especially ones like Seattle  are NOT going to trade their backup Qb 2 games into the regular season...just saying
    • Yeah, I can see that happening, but my only thing is, whoever he goes to, it's going to be a bad team. Not a whole lot of difference between us and say Denver, Jax, the Giants or the Colts. Of course, we're probably worse, but not by that much. Manning would have to pick his poison.
