Go Get Watson

Our defense isn't really that good.

Throw in that we'd likely have to give up one or more of our better defensive players as part of the trade.

They are a billion times better than that 2020 Texans defense. Just remember a lot of these defensive pieces are in there 1st 2nd or 3rd year. Room to grow more. And the last part you don’t know yet. But I’d be ok with packaging burns as long as we resign reddick. If we don’t package burns then don’t resign reddick.

There are so few QB's  in the league, like we saw over the weekend. 6 of them are franchise QB's.

Green Bay

Tampa Bay

Buffalo

Kansas City

Cincinnati

L A

S F and Tenn QB's are  good, but not next level.

THEY ARE SO FEW,, That when one of them becomes available via the draft or trade, you have to try to get him,  then build the missing parts ( O LINE , etc ) .

No, you don't go after a Tannyhill and not work on the O line first,  But a franchise QB , they are rare, and you have to have one.

Not real sure I buy that.

Phil Snow's schemes got figured out pretty early in the season, and truth be told the adjustments needed to beat It weren't really that difficult.

At this point, any team that can run the ball even half decent can own us pretty easily.

Bet you didn’t watch that Texans defense in 2020

I already did. They had the worst defense in the league. Watson kept them in games only losing by 8 points or less except for 4 games. They only got blown out once. He is a total freak show putting up over 5k total yards and 35 tds and he’s not even hit his prime. We however don’t have the worst defense in the league with a very strong core of young talented pieces that plays well with a lead.

They won the same amount of games without him this year.

    • All QBs have limitations  I guess it becomes how much of the offensive playbook is gutted to accommodate those limitations ..and the world shouldn’t have been given up for a game manager …but, if he can be enough of a game manager for one season, and allow for BPA in this year’s draft, that’s a win to me as the Panthers have so many holes now.  I’m encouraged that Morgan will fill them im also encouraged that Canales will move on from Young if, and when, appropriate…as HC, it’s about more than just his Offensive playbook     I am glad for Young…no harm in being glad for his improvement.  the tale of  his tape is coming with all but one probable playoff team on the schedule i would love to see them move on from Evero…even when he had players, there was always a reason they couldn’t get off the field.  Salah, come on down
    • "Our O-Line is finally good, so we should get rid of the most consistent guy we've ever had at RT and roll the dice on a rookie in the draft because it's cheaper." -Idiots Ever heard the idiom "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"? Moton is a Pro Bowl level Tackle. Extend Moton 3 years with the ability to cut bait at 2 if decline in play happens due to age. Look at drafting a tackle in the mid-rounds who is raw but has potential, and let him learn under Moton for a season or two. If he shows progress and looks like he can be the heir apparent, then move on from either Moton or Icky and have the newest guy slide in to the vacant T spot. If Icky continues to play well (And he has played very well this year, people are being chuds about him based on last year) then extend him too. You can't sit here and bitch about how "We AlWaYs GeT rId Of OuR bEsT pLaYeRs" then turn around and bitch when we extend said best players. Who gives a poo if we have a ton of money tied up in the line? That's where you should invest the team's money. O-Line makes the offense run. Hell, draft an O-Lineman every draft. You can never have too many of them.
    • It's not rocket science. We're going the wrong direction and committed recruits are bailing left and right
