Would Andrew Norwell be interested in coming back?

Depends on the money. My friend was (is?) best friends with Norwell. They played together at OSU. I should text him and see if they still are in touch.

I remember when I met with him

and Andrew at slate to get hammered on a Wednesday. Andrew is an animal

Andrew Norwell is still a very good guard and is a free agent this off-season. New OC Ben McAdoo knows him from his season in Jacksonville.

Norwell would be a plug and play starter at LG.

If we draft an LT like Cross or Neal I imagine Christensen would be LG. Andrew could play RG. Would just have to find a C and would be a decent line.

LT: Cross/Neal

LG: Christensen

C : Anyone not on this roster

RG: Norwell

RT: Moton

Brown at center. He said he wanted to learn to play the position. Easily top 10 o line.

Brown is definitely a question mark at this point.  How much of his bench riding was on the coaching staff and how much was on Brown?  Still, players selected on day 3 should be considered developmental, so there is hope that he can play an IOL position.  A lot of it will depend on his conditioning.   OL are not subbed in and out like DL or TEs, so they have to be able to go the distance, as you know.

I do  believe that we will sign a high-end free agent G---I worry that they will go with Elflein at C.  Draft a LT, move BC to G, and that is what they will call "an investment."

I'm almost sure we're looking at C and G in FA. Going LT in draft...or going QB if we get C,G and LT in free agency somehow.

They may consider moving Elfien to fulltime at center but his availability could collapse our whole plan without a decent backup. I think Elfien is their plan at backup. Same exact scenario with Erving at LT.

I think Elf can be released and it would save us some $$ (2.3 million)---not sure it would be worth it--same for Erving.  Erving can play every OL position--and is valuable as a backup, I would think

I hope we do not have Erving on the roster. Whether it is injuries or something else, it seemed he seldom finished a game he started. His performance was dreadful this season.

Hell of a nice guy too.

I met a few Panthers on a USO tour in Germany and he squatted down to my (then) 8 year old sons height and smiled really big for a picture beside him. Really made my day.

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
