Looking to get my hands on some tape, but here are some clips, with a little bit of analysis.

Again, there’s much more to review, and this is more of the positive stuff than the negative. I will say: I think they will need to find a more sophisticated pre-snap processor than Darnold to operate this way.

Being able to recognize what a good QB looks like might ultimately be more valuable to this franchise than his actual play calling.

Right. A lot has been made about this hire, but they’re going to have to find a more competent player at the position to compete, and maximize these concepts.

To take it one step further, even if you can recognize what a good QB is there is not guarantee there will be one attainable this year.  Unfortunately, that is just the reality of the scarcity of good QBs.

Hopefully at the very least we don't waste more resources on a guy that has slim chances of actually helping us.

If we're lucky and get a QB who isn't actually lost in the headlights, I predict that people will be amazed at what a difference a competent QB and OC makes.

I really hope so. This draft on paper isn't great for QB but I think there's a lot of talent there and we could hit on one like the Chargers did with Herbert (nobody expected him to be that good, and I wasn't a big fan of him in that draft. In hindsight clearly Marty knew what he was doing scouting him and considering trying to trade up to nab him). I really do like Kenny Pickett and with the Rhule connection I could see him being the guy.

I love Cam and I’d love for him to stay but just think he can’t throw throughout the season any more.

a game here and there, sure

and yes too, in the OC,  I think more about a HC from the NFL, not some  rube from ncaa

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
