Home Stretch for Huddle FFL, who's in?

Looks like some really good races for final playoff spots and some "win & in" games. Should be a good week!

In the Mike Minter Conference the Bourbon Bombers lead the way in the black division with an 8-5 record. Behind him Stwall and BigJohnson play each other and are tied at 7-6 and both rooting for BB's opponent, the lowly Jackson Four. Second place in Black will be in the running for the wild card. In the Blue Division, All American Ballhawks has it locked but both Superhuman and Portland appear to have a shot at the wildcard also but Superhuman has the inside track thanks to a 4-1 divisional record. In the White division Hochuli is up two with one to play and the others fall just a little short in the wildcard hunt. Edit: the only question is who gets the wildcard and it is between stwall/Super/Portland as BigJohnson is knocked out. All three of those games are still in question but stwall has the edge in tiebreakers.

In the Topcats Conference black division PntherPryd has the playoff spot locked up despite only being up one game thanks to a 4-1 vs. 2-3 division record. Average Joe's can lock up the Conference wildcard with a win over ahottmess (who just beat me damnit!) but a loss by Avg. Joe's puts Charlotte49er and Sultan right back in the hunt (with their own win) so they are ahottmess's biggest fans right now. In the blue division Cape Fear has it locked up and so does Silas in the White. Edit: Average Joe's sews up the wildcard....as long as Brees/Welker don't score 39 or more than Randy Moss. If that happens Sultan & Charlotte49er are back in the picture and we go deeeeeep into tiebreakers

In the Sam Mills Conference black division Tazz and the Bounty Hunters have a showdown for the higher seed but the loser has the wildcard locked up. That's too bad for all the 7-6 and 6-7 teams sprinkled throughout the conference. In the blue division Lords of Pain is only up one over the Minja's but the Minja's are out of contention due to a 2-3 vs. 4-1 division record with no chance to make that up. In the white division Jrock is up two with one to go and the others fall in the "no-man's zone" of 7-6 and 6-7 teams. Edit: Bounty Hunters settle for the wildcard. Minja's gets final "moral victory" over defending champ Here Kitty Kitty who had a Pantheresque year!

In the Jerry Richardson Conference the black division is a powerhouse with B's Cats leading the way at 9-3-1 and the Hooligans and Ashlock team still very much in contention at 9-4. Along with the division winner, both the wildcard and the league's most disappointed owner will come from this division. Despite the lead, B's Cats are 12 point dogs against Ashlock this week and the Hooligans are 22 point favorites in their matchup with grayghost so anything can still happen in this division and one of those three will be eliminated despite a stellar season. The other two divisions are done as both NC Biscuit and the Landfarts have eliminated their competition. Edit: This is why we play the game! Hooligans is in as either wildcard or division champ. B's Cat's has a 42.5 point lead over Ashlock going into tonights game. Ashlock has to hope for an offensive explosion but he is not out of it as he still has Brady and Colston ready to go tonight. If B's Cat's win they are division champ and Hooligans is wildcard and Ashlock cries all offseason. If Ashlock/Brady/Colston pull it out they are wildcard and B's Cat's slinks home.

I feel bad for my son, I think he is 3rd in the entire league for scoring average (103.something) yet he sits in last place in his conference. He has had the worst matchups week after week.

wow, hadn't even noticed that. He really managed the team well and took some shots at making trades work too.

I talked so much smack about silas...but that kid really kicked my ass in the home stretch...I didnt make any trades but the way free agency is it makes it really hard...on most leagues,(yahoo, espn) you can pick up a player anytime but you have to go through waivers for your rankings...I think thats what hurt me..I can never get the FA I want on this league.

Yeah, just one of those years....he sits in front of the PC every week watching every game eventhough we have the Sunday ticket because he is consumed with stats now. FF has ruined the boy. Some weeks I could almost hear him whimpering and I knew he was losing again by something like 108 to 107. :)

How many more weeks till the playoffs start? I feel bad for my son, I think he is 3rd in the entire league for scoring average (103.something) yet he sits in last place in his conference. He has had the worst matchups week after week.

yep, im in another league where i am by far the highest scoring team. I lost again this weekend, 116 to 123. Im now 4-6. It sucks. I get everyones best game. a few more yards or TDs from Shaub or Chris Johnson last night and i might have won...but i didnt.

My team has been average also, but good matchups. I have pretty much played the entire year with only 1 starting RB since week 3 or 4 (whenever Fred Jackson lost his starting job back to Lynch). I have been lucky, and as we can tell...that goes a long way sometimes. The Sam Mills conference has been shaky at best this year. Not the powerhouse it once was.

    • You talk about keeping the shtshow alive and well in Pantherland just bring in Prime and Shedeur....
    • Elite QBs are made and need a team to work around them or you end up with a Phillip Rivers situation, at best.  Sometimes the QB is just the missing piece, or the QB finds the other factors that lift their game. You couldn't ask for a better example of both of those situations than looking at the Stafford/Goff trade between LA and Detroit. Send either of those two guys to Carolina or Cleveland and they just flop around on the turf near the 35 yard line, game after game. And as to the Texans and Commanders... those are two well coached and well-built teams. Massive turnarounds in each location, a lot of buy in by players and grabbing solid performers where they could. They got their QBs, but they also put them in the right environment. You claim I'm a 1990s football guy, I claim you're basing your evaluation more on Madden and fantasy football.
