MLB will be a target...

Friggin defense. How about we focus on OL and get that poo right. Sure, MLB is a need, but OL is so much more important to the success of the team. Same with QB, but we need to get OL right before ANYTHING else.

If we take any defense early....I don't know, I'm already pretty much done with this poo franchise, but that would go nowhere near helping gain any hope back for this team.

Razor I'm talking about 2nd thru 4th round range LB's .. You're not neglecting the Oline if you throw a few picks the defenses way...

We've already put too much into defense and done a piss poor job taking care of that OL. Best thing we can do for the defense is throw everything at the OL and improve QB.

That's absurd .. No matter what happens you will still need to add other position this offseason beside Oline...

Yeah we had one that didn’t cost much that made pro bowl for raiders. Instead we went with garbage Carter. Another bad call by this coaching staff.

Geez for the 1000000th time, we wanted Perryman.  We signed Perryman.  Perryman didn’t want to take the field here and we had no choice but to either cut him or trade him.

I've been wanting an early day 3 MLB for a couple drafts now.  I knew Carter was not the answer there.  He's a decent backup MLB, but not who you want as your starter.  No, I'm not comparing him to Luke because that's completely unfair.  However, Carter is not really even an average starting MLB.

Obviously Fitt feels the same way..

Nothing in the first couple days. All energies need to go towards making the offense better. Defense is more than good enough. They just need an offense that can stay on the field and score.

What's absurd is that we have done as bad a job at fixing the offense, esp the OL. If we had done a better job, we wouldn't have to commit so much towards the OL this year. We've pushed ourselves into a corner.

I'm sorry I'm going to freak out if they use the 1st pick on Oline and the 2nd pick on a MLb.. That's 2 day 1 starter and the draft is deep this year in Oline.. So you can still get some solid interior guys in 4th 5th and 6th round.

We could have this year too, but when you have an opportunity to draft a long snapper you just can't pass that up.

Maybe perryman saw what a chit show this coaching staff was and strong armed his way into a trade to keep from playing for fhule

    • I think they are holding back to see what they have in the young guys, but I think it's a near certainty at some point they will bring someone else in. Right now (assuming we keep 5 CBs which is normal), the top 5 IMO are: 1) Jaycee Horn 2) Mike Jackson 3) Chau Smith-Wade 4) Shemar Bartholomew  5) Akayleb Evans   Obviously Jaycee is the alpha in that room and paid as such. Need him to stay healthy and continue to play at a Pro-Bowl level. Mike Jack did pretty well all things considered last year, and they gave him lower-level starter money. Fair deal for both sides.  Smith-Wade showed some promise as a slot CB. I think low-key he's a lock for the team. Different size and skill set than the other CBs. Shemar Bartholomew was the most sought after waiver claim last preseason. Was 5th CB most and inactive most of last year. Had a few defensive and ST snaps. Nothing of note good or bad but too small a sample size to make any judgment. Akayleb Evans was a 2022 4th Rounder for the Vikings. Has started 19 games (including Week 18 for the Panthers) in his career and played in 43. Was pretty good in 2023 before getting injured and falling down the depth chart last year. There's some other guys on the outside looking in, but until they show more in training camp I dont see anyway they make the 53. And only Jaycee, Mike Jack, and Smith-Wade are locks to make this roster IMO.
    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
