Okay but we were all drooling over Rhule the past 2 offseasons as well and thought he was the greatest thing to happen to this organization. I need to see more before I trust anyone. I have yet to see it. I have seen some questionable trades. I like how he handled the draft last year so hopefully with a full offseason with Morgan he can make better decisions

If we like a guy that will be more day 1 impact than a 4th, then maybe it’s the 2022 4th packaged with a 2023 3rd. Yeah it just keeps taking away future picks but that’s be a way to mid round 3 top-75 pick that may fall/we have pegged as a 2nd rounder type OL.

I mean, if it’s 2 OLs in the top 70ish and we still have our 2023 R1 & 2 then I think that’s the most I’d mortgage with a potential lame duck coach.

Then factor in 1  better FA lineman signing and that’s 3 brand new Ol additions for a 2023 QB to have back him.

Just need to suck it up and take the hit this year. Its gonna be a waste year anyways. We will be drafting at the top of the draft next year and the top of each round. Better not trade those picks. Rhule will be fighting for his job so I wouldn’t hold my breath on them mortgaging this team’s future.

I never drooled over Rhule at all. I was never crazy about the choice but I gave him a chance to show me what he could do, and in the last 33 regular season games, he has. He sucks on just about every level of NFL coaching metrics that exist.

   If you see my point, then it totally invalidates Fits answer. There was absolutely no financial upside to exercising the option. It’s like putting $20 on a hand of blackjack that if you win you get nothing. Lose and your 20 is gone. Would you play at that table?

He may have meant trading away some players for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. It may not be trading away future draft picks

In this case, I do think DJ Moore should be considered. Pick up his 5th year and trade him to a contender who will re-sign him.

I actually think he’d be a pretty great fit in either Buffalo next to Diggs or KC along with Hill as that added for-sure weapon Mahomes has wanted.
