While other teams are taking the "won't settle for mediocrity' mantra seriously, Tepper got confused by settling for losing in lieu mediocrity.  'Hah, see...we aren't mediocre anymore either!'

I would happily take Brian Flores in Carolina to replace Rhule, no idea why Miami would do that.

If there is anything positive from today, even if Rhule isn't fired, he is getting a lotta of smoke today that he wasn't getting all season. He's probably gonna be on the hottest seat next year if we don't fire him, especially with all of this OC rockstar poo.

I Wonder if Flores firing has anything to do with them (hypothetically) agreeing to sign Watson to lure a big name coach to Miami?  Trying to make sense of it all.

I'm sure Tepper gets a % of all the sales in BofA on game day. There's the licensing sales, marketing etc. Those numbers will dwarf Rhules contract and another season like this will end up in the same place and cost him a whole lot more. The only difference is fans won't be so willing to come back and spend their money for the next guy he hires.

Yup, he's at a crossroads here.

Every single decision he's made since buying the Panthers has been the wrong one, I'm guessing he continues with that trend.

Flores and Harbaugh are available and we're standing pat with someone who went 2-16 against teams ranked at the time he played them in college & regressed in his 2nd year in the NFL.

If you figure the average fan spends 60 bucks per at a game and the stadium holds 75k at a 20% cut just on those sales alone for 8 games at home there's Rhule's season salary. That doesn't even count all the extras. Keeping Rhule is going to cost Tepper a boatload of cash.

We have now reached "bottom tier team" level in the league.  Giants, Jags, Panthers, Jets.  We are no different than them any longer.

No, there's the trash tier, which is the Jags, Giants and Jets.

Then there's the Tepper tier, which is below the trash tier. That's where you'll always find the Panthers.
