Panthers taking offers for Cmac in the off-season

It's just another sign of a dysfunctional organization.

The concept of trading CMC isn't terrible, except that it is.

Every team in the NFL can look back and see that the dude has played 10 games in the last 32.  That's a HUGE hit to any trade value he might have.  No one is going to give us anything remotely resembling value for him.

If the Panthers think the guy can be healthy, there is literally ZERO reason to trade him.  The only reason they would consider it is because they DON'T have that belief.  Every other team can figure that out.

It's just dumb, dysfunctional Panthers again if the report is true.

"Willing to listen to trade offers" does not mean they are actively trying to trade him for peanuts.  I'd be disappointed if we weren't "willing to listen to trade offers" for every single player on our team.  There's absolutely zero harm in fielding offers.

"Oh you're offering a 5th round pick for CMC"

Click

It's a pretty basic Cost-Benefit analysis.

He's making WR money. He'd wouldn't get contact from 300lb linemen every damn touch.

He should have been Cooper Kupp in the NFL. That would have been a position swap that everyone could understand and get behind.

He should have been used exactly like they used Smitty, but again that was a professional NFL staff.

I'm with you, he is the best rout runner when healthy anyways.

I am torn on this. Cmac is so dynamic and valuable. He is not your ordinary running back. You can even trace our implosion in pass protection back to when he was hurt. He makes a team better in many ways, but lately it seems he can't stay on the field. I still he think he has a ton a value especially if an offensive scheme uses him creatively in ways that limit his wear and tear.

I really hope we don't send him to denver and eat his salary too!

I wouldnt expect much because of his cap number and the fact he has been hurt so much

Again like I said in another thread there is an out after next year. I think the injury stuff is also more on this staff than CMC. If you put him in a legit operation he’ll be fine.

….and what would they ever do with all the CMC merchandise in the team store?

its 90% McCaffrey and 10% the damned soccer team.
not one legitimate star in the team besides the injury prone Rb

that is what the Tepper ownership and Rhule as de facto GM has brought to us.
