A List of people that CAN'T be here next year...

It is apparent that most people on here do not have the business sense to run a lemonade stand.

Your solution with Jake is to take the Cap Hit and cut him. What about the 20M guaranteed money he is owed. So we should pay him $20M and send him on his way....then go out and hire another BU QB. Ridiculous.

Demote him if you wish....but if you are going to pay him anyway, you should keep him as a BU.

So we let an extremely overpriced washed-up QB ride the bench? We are already screwed next year thanks to Hurney/Fox. I would rather keep Moore as the back-up and try to find a starter than let the fail aura of Jake Delhomme spread throughout the team any longer than it has. Paying a back-up QB at best that much to ride the bench is idiotic. I don't care how big the cap-hit is. Jake has nothing to offer this team anymore after this season.

There is no reason to get rid of Jake. He should still be here next year. Whether or not he is the starter is a completely different issue. But he should be here and he will.

As for Captain...we have done well drafting in the alter rounds in recent years. IMO, Captain is right there with some of the other solid pickups we've made in rounds 5-7. He has outperformed his 7th round selection greatly in my opinion.

Ya gotta keep Meeks and see what these guys can do with another year and another offseason under their belts with his system.

That's my two pennies.

if fox is the HC then jake will not just be on the roster...he will be starting. no QB coming in has a real chance at any serious competition with fox in charge. fox has something to prove and he'll die trying to prove that he can win with jake. fox should be gone.

davidson pretends that he has a QB that can do anything and playcalls accordingly. get rid of davidson because he can't adjust schemes to play into our strengths and away from our weaknesses. i don't care if it's his fault or not....he's part of the problem, lets get rid of him.

if next year is uncapped, buy out jake's contract and move on. as long as he is on the team, the rest of the team and coaching staff is going to be looking to him as their man. this isn't fair to anyone that we might have come in so let's get rid of him.

peppers should not be on the roster one way or the other next year unless he can agree to a very cap friendly deal. if next year is uncapped, slap the tag on him and trade him for whatever we can get. if it isn't uncapped then just swallow a bunch of pride and cut him loose.

do not keep moose around unless we have a new QB and next year is uncapped. i would rather moose not be around and us use other receiving options we have to try and develop them. we should smith/jarrett/moore and move goodson to WR or make him a WR/RB hybrid. use barnidge and rosario as WRs.

cut landon johnson. next time he gets hurt, IR him and give him an injury settlement.

get rid of kasay, lloyd, and baker and upgrade getting two kickers who can do it all.

get rid of crossman and find someone who has actually coached a successful special teams unit or two before. the more creative he is, the better.

get rid of all depth who don't make special teams better. if you aren't starting then you'd better be good at special teams in some way.

we need real gunners and a real PR man.

I hope Fox stays just so i can watch this sad excuse for a fanbase get their panties in a twist all over again. Watching all you knuckle heads bitch and moan is almost as fun as watching the Panthers win.

Its just a game. A game none of you have any control over. Just sit down and shut up.

It really seems like 90% of your posts are complaints about our fans. Somehow, you bitching and moaning about our fanbase seems even more sad than those bitching and moaning about the team.

This is a great idea..yep I like it..

Get rid of the all the coaches and players and then what...

You have to have a plan DUMB ASS..

Who are you going to replace them with ?????????

This board has turned into the whinner line....

Most of us don't let what a few have to say bother us, so who is the whiner?

Delhomme doesnt have to go. He just shouldnt be a starter. Money wise and expierence wise, it just doesnt make sence to flatout leave him.

Peppers, depends on how much he's asking for.

Considring the injuries to Davis, Kemoatu and others and the turnovers on the offence, Id say Meeks has done pretty decently. Dont we have the 11th ranked defence. We have alot of guys growing in (Captian, Brown) and returning from injury next year.

Davidson IMO hasnt done to bad either. We had a top ten offence last year. Espceailly good late last year. I thikn were top 15 right now. Delhomme hasnt helped.

Crossman should go.

I lean toward Fox staying.I think he can take us far. I think too many people assume that if Fox is back that Delhomme will be the starter. I disagree, Fox knows what a liablilty he's been and Im sure he'll bring in others.

Fox and Delhomme go hand in hand. You have to get rid of Fox to get rid of Delhomme. If Fox is still here, Delhomme will still be the starter. Bank on it. Fox and Delhomme need to go.

Danny Crossman needs to go and should've been gone years ago.

Moose needs to go and we need to get a legit YOUNG #2 receiver.

Get rid of Schwartz and/or Garry Williams and find 1 or 2 good tackles that can actually block somebody.

Peppers is the only one who can decide if he wants to stay or not. If he wants to go, trade him and get our first rounder back. Otherwise, keep him unless theres a way for us to sign Kampman.

Nick Hayden has to get out. He's a waste of a roster spot and is the offensive lineman's bitch whenever he's on the field.

Sorry Kemo, you got to go. We need DTs that not only take up blocks, but penetrate as well. You were on the line when they were bad last season. We get Thomas and our line is suddenly good again, minus the last game. We have promising young DTs waiting in the wings with Leonard, Irvin, and Tank Tyler. We probably still need to add 1 more young solid DT to the roster.

Landon Johnson is trash. Get rid of him.

Charles Godfrey is a waste of a roster space. He needs to be tried out at corner and if he succeeds there, keep him. If not, he needs to go and we need to add more GOOD safety depth.

Jason Baker and Lloyd need to go and we need a punter who can also do kickoffs. Only time Kasay will leave is if he retires and that's the way it should be.

If this happens...we might as well throw away the 2010-11 season.

Then stop rooting for the Panthers anymore with that comment there then. Just go root for a different team if you're not going to watch the 2010-11 season.

I swear to god if I hear another "Jake is not bad he's average" shtick again...

You'll do what? :D :D

But I would get rid of Fox, bench Jake for next season (Make him #2 if any QBs we have play better than him. Weinke is no way better than him. Stop drinking the "Everyone is better than Jake!", 'cause Weinke & Carr sure as hell aren't. :P), keep Meeks & Davidson (If a new coach come & they say, maybe they'll get more freedom than Fox give them), terminate Crossman's contract, trade Pep if a team can give us their two 1st round Draft picks along with a talent veteran that we need to fill in the hole badly.

Oh, keep Captain on the team!!

    • You talk about keeping the shtshow alive and well in Pantherland just bring in Prime and Shedeur....
    • Elite QBs are made and need a team to work around them or you end up with a Phillip Rivers situation, at best.  Sometimes the QB is just the missing piece, or the QB finds the other factors that lift their game. You couldn't ask for a better example of both of those situations than looking at the Stafford/Goff trade between LA and Detroit. Send either of those two guys to Carolina or Cleveland and they just flop around on the turf near the 35 yard line, game after game. And as to the Texans and Commanders... those are two well coached and well-built teams. Massive turnarounds in each location, a lot of buy in by players and grabbing solid performers where they could. They got their QBs, but they also put them in the right environment. You claim I'm a 1990s football guy, I claim you're basing your evaluation more on Madden and fantasy football.
