A List of people that CAN'T be here next year...

In no order...

Jake Delhomme- He is done...he is worse than Chris Wienke. He isn't capable of leading this team down the field, when the game is on the line, therefore, he shouldn't be an NFL QB..simple as that.

Julius Peppers- 1 Million dollars a game....maybe he will show up, maybe he won't..thats not going to cut it.

Jeff Davidson-His Horrendous play calling has lost us 3 games (Buf, NE,Mia)...

Ron Meeks- 30 rush Defense in the league...enough said. Injuries are no excuse. Our defense has always been good, regardless if guys were hurt (they were) or not..

Dwayne Jarret- I've seen enough. He can't catch...he can block, but he isn't a lineman...c ya

One of our TWO FBs- Epic way to take up a roster spot..get rid one one please..

Capitan Munnerlyn -..he is the slowest kick returner in the NFL by far. I don't think he has gotten past the 35 on any KR this year.....we could find a better FS in the draft/FA...

JOHN FOX-...Sorry...but its over. He took us to the SB..but his decision to stick with Jake is going to get him fired...He is a good coach, and will find work somewhere else, but its time to move on...there are to many better options out there...

Get rid of Captain? He's been a very solid nickel corner. I agree we need another PR though.

I disagree about peppers too. He's the only pass rush threat we have.

If hoover cant come back healthy then he should be gone. If he can then Id still keep them both.

Jake, Meeks and Davidson wont be gone unless Fox is. Lets hope thats the case

Keep Captain, he's overrated here but has been a pretty decent nickle.

Fiametta is complete trash thus far, but since we invested a pick into him we'll keep him.

Peppers, unless he actually signs a contract with us, needs to go. Way waaay to much to franchise him and other teams aren't going to trade.

Davidson can go back to Cleveland if he wants. He'd probably suck there, too. What a joke.

We knew what we would get with Meeks. Cover-2, good against the pass, crap against the run. He stays if Fox stays. I hate his Defense, but I'm in a minority here.

If Fox is here, Delhomme is here and probably starting. All you can do is pray the guy wants to retire at some point.

Jarrett is a bust. Let someone else invest 3 more years to get him up to speed.

Why get rid of Delhomme after signing him to a new contract? Don't get me wrong, I don't want him starting. But you could not get a better backup quarterback for this team than the man who has led it for the last seven years. It would be foolish not to keep him at least in that capacity.

Julius Peppers- 1 Million dollars a game....maybe he will show up, maybe he won't..thats not going to cut it.

Depends entirely on how much money he wants.

Ron Meeks- 30 rush Defense in the league...enough said. Injuries are no excuse. Our defense has always been good, regardless if guys were hurt (they were) or not..

Not having Maake hurts, no matter how well Thomas is filling it. Oh, and for the record, our defense as a whole hasn't been good since 2005.

Dwayne Jarret- I've seen enough. He can't catch...he can block, but he isn't a lineman...c ya

I don't think we can really judge any of our receivers based on this year. I think he's got potential. He won't ever be a superstar, but he could be a solid possession guy if we were to use him in that way.

One of our TWO FBs- Epic way to take up a roster spot..get rid one one please..

As long as Hoover can play, we need to keep him. Why would we throw away the future at the position? The fullback is critical to our offense.

Capitan Munerland-..he is the slowest kick returner in the NFL by far. I don't think he has gotten past the 35 on any KR this year.....we could find a better FS in the draft/FA...

Captain Munnerlyn (nice spelling, by the way) is not a FS. Sure, he hasn't played well as a punt returner (he's not a kick returner), but that's only part of the reason we've brought him in. He's looked great as a corner, especially for being a seventh round pick.

JOHN FOX-...Sorry...but its over. He took us to the SB..but his decision to stick with Jake is going to get him fired...He is a good coach' date=' and will find work somewhere else, but its time to move on...there are to many better options out there...[/quote']

I'm almost with you here. Still, I would like to see if he can address the quarterback situation. I wish we knew how much of the playcalling was Fox and how much was on his coordinators.

Basically, I don't think there are any players that absolutely have to be gone next year -- at least not starters. Now, some of those starters may need to be supplanted (i.e. Jake Delhomme) but that's not to say I don't want him here in a backup role and for his lockerroom presence.

Jake Delhomme - I agree...I don't even want him as a back-up. He'll be making too much. Eat the cap hit and cut him.

Julius Peppers - Try to sign him long-term as he is the only real threat on our D-line. If not, let him go

Jeff Davidson - Yes...let him go

Ron Meeks - Meeks has gotten a bad rap. I think he has done a good job with our defense. No one expected our defense to be dominant. Meeks has done well...the players has got to do better(tackling) and the offense has got to stop creating turnovers. Let him get another year with the defense without Fox tweaking crap into prevent mode when we get a lead.

Dwayne Jarret - Let him prove himself in training camp with a different QB

Two FBs- Both should stay

Captain Munnerlyn - Should stop returning kicks, that's all.

John Fox - Should be 1st one gone as soon as the season is over.

Uh no. Not worse than Wienke. The Wienkster was bad. Delhomme is an average QB.. where the hell were you last year? the year before that? To me, it seems like he made a career out of leading 4th qtr comebacks. He should stay at least in a back up role. IMHO.

Julius Peppers- 1 Million dollars a game....maybe he will show up, maybe he won't..thats not going to cut it.

He's gone. HOW he leaves will be the interesting part.. does he walk, does he get franchised and traded...

Jeff Davidson-His Horrendous play calling has lost us 3 games (Buf, NE,Mia)...

With you on this one.. just crazy really.. I was on the fence until last game. It seems like no matter who coaches this team we make zero halftime adjustments.. we just expect the other team to use halftime to take a potty break and not talk about what is and isn't working.

Ron Meeks- 30 rush Defense in the league...enough said. Injuries are no excuse. Our defense has always been good, regardless if guys were hurt (they were) or not..

Injuries and a new system IS an excuse. Without Kemoeatu and Davis we are hurtin. That said, our defense hasn't had a killer instinct since.. poo, like 2003? Beason is one of the lone exceptions to that statement.

Dwayne Jarret- I've seen enough. He can't catch...he can block, but he isn't a lineman...c ya

The experiment is over.

One of our TWO FBs- Epic way to take up a roster spot..get rid one one please..

I think Hoover will hang up the cleats after this season. Fiammetta better have a monster offseason.

Capitan Munnerlyn -..he is the slowest kick returner in the NFL by far. I don't think he has gotten past the 35 on any KR this year.....we could find a better FS in the draft/FA...

Our ST coverage/blocking is a joke. It doesn't matter who is KR/PR. They aren't coached for poo. Some of that has to do with retreads playing ST.. the rest of it falls on Crossman.

JOHN FOX-...Sorry...but its over. He took us to the SB..but his decision to stick with Jake is going to get him fired...He is a good coach, and will find work somewhere else, but its time to move on...there are to many better options out there..

He'll get a pass this year.. mark it down. If he wins at least three of the last six he can use Delhomme's year and injuries as an excuse. I just don't see the Big Cat canning him..

- Munnerlyn should just not do kick returns. He is a really good physical corner, and will get better. Sutton should be the FB and KR.

- Add Danny Crossman. that POS should be fired the very second our season ends. ST has sucked all year long.

- People will hate me for this, but this is JOHN FOX'S OFFENSE. Is it a coincidence that the year after Dan Henning left he had success in Miami? Whether good or bad, Fox's conservative approaches over rules anything Davidson would ever call. Our offense has looked the same for 8 years.

Are you serious? We're a QB and a WR away from being a real contender.

So you really think we're gonna find a QB and WR with John Fox as Head Coach? This is the same guy who said he doesn't like drafting QBs high and that he will stick with Delhomme no matter what. Also, the free agent QB class is weak and I don't expect a 2nd round rookie QB at best to immediately take over.

    • You talk about keeping the shtshow alive and well in Pantherland just bring in Prime and Shedeur....
    • Elite QBs are made and need a team to work around them or you end up with a Phillip Rivers situation, at best.  Sometimes the QB is just the missing piece, or the QB finds the other factors that lift their game. You couldn't ask for a better example of both of those situations than looking at the Stafford/Goff trade between LA and Detroit. Send either of those two guys to Carolina or Cleveland and they just flop around on the turf near the 35 yard line, game after game. And as to the Texans and Commanders... those are two well coached and well-built teams. Massive turnarounds in each location, a lot of buy in by players and grabbing solid performers where they could. They got their QBs, but they also put them in the right environment. You claim I'm a 1990s football guy, I claim you're basing your evaluation more on Madden and fantasy football.
