Through my profession we do a lot of construction in Charlotte. Some commercial and some residential. People talk to get a good deal or better timeline. Basically what I’ve heard from people who work at the building is he is unliked by about every group because he acts like he’s done everyone’s job before and wants his way of doing things even with stuff that has nothing to do with him. An example I got (this was through one of my contractors doing a project for a pool/outdoor patio in an upscale neighborhood-not naming names) A guy said he pitched a fit about the meeting schedules because they didn’t fit methodically through his day so a bunch of groups had to change how they did things because the people he needed to meet with weren’t available at that time. Another example was that he walks around giving staff unwarranted advice and is extremely awkward and people ignore him.

Sounds like a rah rah preacher type to me. Kinda exactly what we thought he was. The dude is a gimmick. The gimmick worked on 18 year old kids. Not so much on pro athletes. The ones who support Rhule the most are the guys who played for him at Temple who either have no business in the league (PJ Walker) or a guy who has gotten a gigantic contract that he doesn't deserve (Robby Anderson). I don't buy Cam's praise of him the other day as meaning much of anything. He was just taking the high road.

I dunno man …a lot of these NFL reporters make Fox News people look like Walter Cronkite. To me it sounded like someone put it out there that Ruhle was safe was just a smokescreen and Tepper playing his hand close to his chest.

Thanks for your info.  It's really interesting given the current discussion of whether Rhule stays or goes . . .

Since Tepper took over, he has kind of monopolized the media surrounding the team. We don't have nearly as many candid takes about what is happening from beat reporters, or even Jeremy anymore.

It all feels so corporate and sterile now. Nothing bad gets out. No critical articles about the team because it runs the risk of upsetting the team who controls the narratives now.

Kind of a big ol' bummer.

Covid has a lot to do with it. Not allowed to get near players anymore. No locker room access.

Tepper and Rhule are Northerners. I think being from the South most people take them the wrong way. I think that had a lot to do with why Gettleman seemed like an ass. I don't think Rhule is fit to coach a Professional team, but him having a hard time fitting in is understandable....

Fox and Rivera were both Californians.  So the lesson is we need to hire a west coast head coach next, I guess.

This isn’t that much different from JRs days. I remember Darin Gantt being “reassigned” to Winthrop sports after he wrote about some critical leaks that JR didn’t like.

makes no sense to wait to the end of the year when you could be interviewing canidates now.  if he was going to be fired he would have been already.

I have no idea what's going on. There are definitely going to be coaches fired this off-season but none were fired yesterday. That surprised me. Maybe there's a gentleman's agreement among the owners not to jump the gun to kickstart the process barring extraordinary circumstances like was seen with the Gruden and Meyer situations? I don't know. All I know is that coaches are going to be fired, some owners already know they're firing their coaches, and yet no one pulled the trigger yesterday to get a jumpstart on the situation. Seems like there's gotta be some type of collusion afoot.

Ok so the Reddit OP's uncle is from NY and was hired by Carolina.

Could be Dan Morgan. High school and college in Florida, worked for the Bills before coming back. Idk if he or his wife have siblings and if so, they're in Florida still. But it's not impossible.

Tom Glick is another possibility. Again, guy that has been between NY and the UK before coming here. Unsure on Florida ties.

I don't have the time to invest in background research into everybody in the organization, but there could be credibility to this.

This is what I thought as well but how come no other coaches have been fired yet? Apparently some blue checks on twitter have said this really isn't that big of a deal but I haven't read the logic behind that yet. I really do wonder if they just don't have an interim option.

It would be a small circle that had access to this info. Morgan, Stewart, Glick, Fitterer, Drummond, Anderson, maybe Allen?
