"It's working, you just can't see it"

We are now living the nightmare I was worried about at the end of last season.

And everyone was like, "There's no way we're letting a guy out just two seasons into his seven year contract." Now, we're all praying that we will see the end of this mess.

Now, my big worry at the end of this season is that you were all right and that Tepper won't fire him after just two years.

Sad days, indeed.

It would be poetic justice if Dave Tepper ends up praising Matt Rhule just before he fires him.

True 😄

The one good thing I see is that Rhule did not get assurance from Tepper that he'd be back next season.

There seems to be at least a possibility that Tepper could be weighing options.

We are going to see what kind of owner we have as well.  I worry his ego is the most important thing and he won't be able to admit that Rhule is just not that guy and we'll suffer another season because he can't admit HE made the wrong choice.   We are talking about someone that bought his old boss's home just to demolish it and build a new one where it was.

The money?  The money is literally peanuts to this guy if he fires Rhule.  I believe he's the richest owner in the NFL.  Millions is nothing for this guy.  His family is set for generations so he's basically just playing around right now owning an NFL team.  If he doesn't move on from Rhule it's because of ego factors in my opinion.

    • Unlikely, UNC fans don’t even care that Mack has owned Duke because at the end of the day it’s about winning the ACC, not beating Duke. If your only focus is on beating your rival then you’ll end up content year after year like NCSU fans. Now if we were a playoff contender then I’d definitely be upset but this is just a bad UNC team that can’t be saved by Sam Howell or Drake Maye.
    • The way to beat this Bengals team is  physically: power running and ball control. You're not going to out-air them. There was a game last year where the ravens tried and burrow  readily out-dueled jackson. They have too many weapons. I believe Higgins returns this week. They're also down Trent Brown so Mims will see his first start. This game will tell us whether or not our O-line is legit.
    • Everyone knows I dislike UNC (their basketball program; love their academics) but they are really doing a disservice as a football program. I’ve always thought them to be a potential sleeping giant and stand by the concept that they can be dominant in football or basketball. Not both simultaneously.   UNC will reach a crossroads when they enter the SEC where they may have to choose. There’s no reason why UNC can’t be competitive in the SEC in football but it may come as a cost to the relevancy of their basketball program. They’ll either be Kentucky 2.0 or reverse prioritize their programs ala Auburn.    It’s no secret the SEC wants to secure the Carolinas and their markets.
