I never said blitzing all the time was smart and don't try to say that wasn't the argument. I said ron meeks rarely ever blitzed wether it was here or in indy and you said we blitzed a lot in the first two games which we didn't. The argument was that ron meeks has never been an agressive dc which you totally denied. And you're still a whiny ass little wuss. Waaaaah he isn't a homer! Waaaaaah he won't stop being realistic. Waaaaaaah! Lmao

Well I'll give you that the Panther Cover 2 is pretty passive football.

Stupid people get on my nerves. Especially stupid people that never have anything good to say about anybody or anything.

The bottom line is that Meeks is coaching the Panthers now, and he does bring more pressure than he did with the Colts, and he does call play man to man coverage sometimes. This idea that he only plays zone, or that playing cover 2 is even anything new to the Panthers is ridiculous. Everybody's hero, Jack Del Rio, ran lots and lots of cover 2, and everybody thought that was the best defense ever.

We ran cover two with the best front four in the nfl under del rio. This front four gets very little pressure. T davis has proven to be a very effective blitzer. They should have used him more and find different ways to get pressure. Too bad we don't have a creative or agressive coaching staff to trash these vanilla schemes. Waaaaaaah gman won't sugar coat! Waaaaah!

    • You talk about keeping the shtshow alive and well in Pantherland just bring in Prime and Shedeur....
    • Elite QBs are made and need a team to work around them or you end up with a Phillip Rivers situation, at best.  Sometimes the QB is just the missing piece, or the QB finds the other factors that lift their game. You couldn't ask for a better example of both of those situations than looking at the Stafford/Goff trade between LA and Detroit. Send either of those two guys to Carolina or Cleveland and they just flop around on the turf near the 35 yard line, game after game. And as to the Texans and Commanders... those are two well coached and well-built teams. Massive turnarounds in each location, a lot of buy in by players and grabbing solid performers where they could. They got their QBs, but they also put them in the right environment. You claim I'm a 1990s football guy, I claim you're basing your evaluation more on Madden and fantasy football.
