He is in a contract year.He does not fit in the 3-4..would get him at a bargain rate next year...would you take him?

According to Packers beat writer Greg Bedard, the initial prognosis for OLB Aaron Kampman is that he has a torn ACL.

Kampman, in the midst of a career-worst season, is dealt another blow in his contract year. He joins CB Al Harris as the Packers' second starting defender to tear his ACL in Week 11. Green Bay may not pursue re-signing Kampman in the offseason because he's not a good fit in their 3-4 defense. The injury may make Kampman a bargain addition for another team, however

Hell yes I would take him. He's the 2nd best DE in the league IMO and the best realistic option and probably the only option I would take if we were to trade Peppers. Peppers for him and a 2nd or 1st.

He's in contract year I don't see how we could trade Pep for him. I would love to get him though.

Packers just placed him on IR

Packers placed OLB Aaron Kampman on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.

We knew Kampman was done for the year in mid-November, but the Packers oddly kept him on the roster for the last several games. Kampman, 30 last month, is headed for unrestricted free agency in 2010. He was miscast as an OLB in Green Bay's new 3-4 scheme, but should draw plenty of interest from 4-3 teams as a defensive end. His Packers career is almost certainly over
