Is there enough room? Jeez do you even see the picture? That is about twice the size of the parcel the stadium sits on now.

Absolutely not -- in fact the current stadium parcel is listed as 33-acres and the larger tract of CP&F land is about 40-acres.  (FYI, there's a couple parcels in there CP&F does not own)

Inglewood CA is NOT a city downtown if you aren't familiar with LA.  We don't need dedicated parking for 50,000 cars.

Nor is Glendale, AZ (223 acres) which was held out as a model to copy.  Neither site has parking for "50,000 cars"...not even half that.

Tepper's the richest NFL owner and he's not gonna settle for anything but the best and that ain't a stadium the same size as the current one crammed into a parcel the same size as the current one 🤦‍♂️...

33 acres includes the practice fields. Try again.

It's ridiculous really. A new stadium? Why? To keep up with Jurry?

Lambeau Field was built in 1957.

It's all about priorities.

Solider field is way up there too, weird how its ok at a few places, but others once the stadium hits 10 its "dated and needs replacing"

There was a study not long about the true financial impact of a new stadium for the locals. Turns out its was no better than having a local super target. Compete joke.

IF i was king of all, use one stadium for multiple teams including college....even HS. Near the same waste as golf courses....

So what?

What's the footprint of the "new" stadium vs. old?

Has to be a massive difference --- shoehorning a massive multi-billion stadium into a cramped 40-acre site is no bueno.

pros and cons.

I like that the stadium is in uptown, walkable from pretty much the entire hotel district. Like Lambeau or any of the soccer stadiums in London, where it's just part of the neighborhood.

I also like the setup in Houston (for example), where all the stadiums tie together into a single stadium zone with plenty of space to do other things throughout the year, like RodeoHouston (which is fantastic).    except that everyone has to figure out a way to get to the stadium district somehow, whether by car/bus/train, etc.

So Charlotte-Mecklenburg County residents, who have not yet finished paying for the latest BOA renovation, are now going to foot the bill for a second stadium, albeit a smaller capacity soccer stadium. The Meck Country residents already have the 3rd highest property taxes in the state and Charlotte is right up there, too.

If the politicians stand firm (like NC Gov. McCrory did with Jerry Richardson while CLT City Council simultaneously caved) and Just Say No...

...Tepper will have no choice.

More and more municipalities are manning up and embracing Just Say No:

> SoFi Stadium ($5B), fully funded by Rams ownership.

> Jets-Giants Stadium ($1.6B), built by the owners with no public money (there were revenue sharing concessions, etc).

> NY Islanders ($1.1), new Nassau Coliseum fully built with private funds (NYS does own the land it sits on).

Expand

stadium will end up in SC

Carowinds is 406 acres and sits on the NC/SC border (2 States--1 Team😎)...

...could build a massive stadium -- mixed use project and have plenty of parking to boot!  (100+ acres bigger than the SoFi Stadium site)

💥🙌

Tepper may want to wait and see if his team improves any before worrying about a stadium. As it is now he would only need enough seats for him and his friends.

The city of St. Louis told the Rams "start winning and we will build a new stadium."

    • If we don't switch it up and start playing full court pressure D we're just going to have to shoot lights out and have the other team have an off night to have a chance against top teams. We've trailed by 20 in three of our four games and ended up getting back in them by picking up the pressure. This team has to pressure and create pace because we don't have the post presence to play half court ball on either side of the court.
    • Would love to see us sign him to say a 4 year extension structured in a way that pays him most of the money in the first two years with an out after the 2. It protects us to injuries or penalty issues, it gives him a lot of money, and it also gives him an ability to renegotiate in 2 years if he plays at a high level, and if he does, we'd be happy to pay it to him again.
