Defensive Troubles

Ellis tweeted something today that the run defense is only yielding 3.6 yards per carry which isn’t bad per say but the field position and 3rd downs have been an issue. We rank 16th in redzone so we are doing pretty well all things considered especially with how bad the turnover differential has been.

Our offense is the other teams best defense.  End of story.

Weak MLB play. Shaq’s been the only decent LB we have. We get one or two good LBs that can get off blocks and make stops, we’re in business.

I think you may be confusing causation with correlation or mislabeling the causative element.

Kinda, but it all comes back to the OL.  The best offensive mind in the world can’t do anything with this line

The defense is not a problem but in fact a strength for us.  The fuggin OL has killed this entire team

Our defense is built to play with a lead. How this staff figured we would be playing with huge leads is a freaking mystery to me.

And it doesn’t help that this staff has no clue of how to adjust to what the opposition is doing.

That's what is do odd because apparently Rhule wanted to be a run first team. Those types of teams can win but they don't often have huge leads.

We can’t get off the field on 3rd down, pass rush is too inconsistent, edge isn’t being contained, missing discipline on crucial plays.

Our coaching staff does a lot of things that don't make sense to thinking people.

They clearly believe in themselves, which isn't a bad thing...

We are 8th in points per game for all the “blow outs” that’s actually not bad and kinda indicative of the offense.
