We are eliminated from the playoffs basically. Darnold is already on the books for next year unless we find somebody to pick up his contract. If he does okay, we have a possible back up QB (since we have to pay for him anyways). Maybe he does well enough for somebody to trade and pick up most of his contract. Him sitting on the bench doesn’t help anything.

And yes it helps draft position.

I never want to see Sam on the field for the Panthers again as it makes me want to fuging puke. But I don't think that playing Cam or PJ has any purpose whatsoever at this point and maybe Sam could put some more good film out there helping us get rid of him easier. Doubtful and it probably doesn't matter as none of the 3 are in our future though.
