Maybe you take the QB, sit him for the year and draft up a top LT the following season.  That would be smart but it sucks to wait another whole year.   And I don't have much confidence that the Panthers organization / Rhule has the patience to make the smart, long-term decision over the stupid quick fix.  

You have to start swinging at QBs. Sign Armstead, draft a QB, draft an OT with your next pick.

I dont know much about Pickett yet.  I know on a lot of his tape hes making accurate throws with touch when needed in tight windows.  It's not like a lot of college tape where there is no one within 10 yards of the receiver on every highlight.   If they draft qb they are going to have to go after oline hard in free agency though.

If we plan to build the line and draft O-line in the first round this year and wait for a QB next year, that means another losing season with Rhule next year. You don't find franchise QBs outside the top 10 very often. We would have to suck the following year with Rhule to be able to draft a top 10 QB. The huddle would explode with another losing season with Rhule as HC.

They named him right.  Pickett is a gunslinger and had a lot of picks in college.  Think Favre maybe, but with only the hope that he gets that good.
