How are you feeling about this QB class in general? People seem all over the place on every prospect I’ve read about.

Dane Brugler did a podcast on the athletic going through each top prospect and the draft.  He seems to think only 2 in the top 25 and the general consensus is just all over the place.  No true #1, they all have pretty glaring faults, all in all not as strong as last year.  Brugler is tied in with NFL scouts and front office guys, he is pretty respected in that regard.  He says there is a ton of 2nd round qbs, meaning they have talent to at least start in the nfl.

Yeah that’s one opinion.

This guy has 4 in the first with 2 in the top 10 and Howell falling out of the first round.

I was high on Willis last year. This year he has kind of turned me off playing poorly against tougher competition…

You have to balance that with the talent around him. One of the same issues Josh Allen had coming out iirc (beyond his accuracy of course)

I think the difference is Dane is probably a bit more dialed in and informed then some rando cbs writer.  But yeah everyone has an opinion at least.  I think once the dust settles on the bowl games and eventual evaluations this is going to be a weak class.    Gun to my head I guess Pickett would be #1 but Corral and willis would scare the poo out of me.  LIke I said 100 times build the damn line and get your qb next year.  Follow the damn process.

I dont see any scenario realistically possible where we draft Howell in the top 10 and he comes in and is successful right off the bat.  Not knocking him just saying he isnt that type of qb and this organization is not close at all to be trotting a rookie out there to start.

I can easily however see him falling to the steelers and making a playoff push simply due to the existing team and structure in place.

Unless we can fix our OL situation I wouldn't want a rookie stepping on the field for us.

    • I think it will be hard to not go edge in the second if we go QB first. Say you have Starks, one of Bond/Egbuka, and maybe one Edge (don't have a name to throw out that is end of 1st round projected and may slide)... do you still go Starks? Just curious. I haven't looked into starks much, as I've been focused on QB, WR, and DL prospects.
