What happens to Panthers Players With A HC Change?

These are some Panthers that should benifit from a coaching change, and some that would not,in my opinion.

For some Panthers players the hand writing is on the wall, and they should hope for a coaching change, in order to save their careers. Here are a few:

(1) Matt Moore - Maybe, or maybe not, at least he has an NFL job now. What's the old saying, "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt". It seems that Moore will never get a chance to be a starting QB for the Panthers under Fox, but he at least has a backup QB job, and that's better than just hopping to hook on with another team as their Practice Squad QB.

(2) Mike Goodson - He hasn't played RB after an early season fumble, and has now lost the kick return job to Tyrell Sutton (who plays much faster than his 40 time), as well as the #3 RB job. Not a lot of teams carry 4 RB's on their roster, so this isn't a good sign for his future.

(3) Hilee Taylor - He's been inactive all season, and when DE's Peppers and Johnson are both injured, and he still remains inactive, that's a very bad sign for his future with the Panthers.

(4) Kenneth Moore - Your inactive (but uninjured), in favor of a WR just activated from the Practice Squad, that's not a good sign for your long term future with the team.

(5) Garry Williams - Your a LT, one of 2 backup OT's on the roster all season, and when the LT is injured, you get passed over to move the LG to LT (inserting a G/C as his replacement). That can't be a good sign, is the Practice Squad, or the waiver wire your next move?

(6) All The TE's - Only 6th because their jobs aren't in danger. Fox only values (uses) TE's for their blocking, maybe a new Head Coach would actually use them in the passing game.

(7) Steve Smith - Like the TE's, his job isn't in danger, but his production is. A coaching change might mean a new QB, and a new focus on the passing game.

(8) Dan Connor - Under Fox he's viewed only as a MLB, which with Beason means your only a special teams player.

Some Players Who Don't Hope For A Coaching Change:

(1) Jake Delhomme - Hands down #1, no surprise here, if Fox goes, Jake goes.

(2) Muhsin Muhammad - Fox values a WR's blocking far more than their pass catching. If Fox stays, then Moose might as well.

(3) Julius Peppers - Fox loves Peppers, and want's him at any price.

(4) Nick Hayden - Without Fox, he has no job.

(5) Dwayne Jarrett - A new coach, with nothing invested in Jarrett, may cut him in favor of a WR with more speed.

(6) John Kasey & Rhys Lloyd - A new coach may want 1 kicker that can do both jobs.

(7) Other Starters - Under a new coach, many starting jobs that are set under Fox, may well be up for grabs.

Nothing for him to worry about; he'll get a position somewhere if not here.

They actually get used quite a bit.

(7) Steve Smith - Like the TE's, his job isn't in danger, but his production is. A coaching change might mean a new QB, and a new focus on the passing game.

I think he wants to win more than he wants the ball. He just thinks that if he is given the ball, he can help the team win.

I think this is the best point you bring up. See how he does in Digg's place.

Some Players Who Don't Hope For A Coaching Change:

(1) Jake Delhomme - Hands down #1, no surprise here, if Fox goes, Jake goes.

Actually, they would probably keep him for another season if they are still trying to find the "right QB" near the beginning of the next season.

(2) Muhsin Muhammad - Fox values a WR's blocking far more than their pass catching. If Fox stays, then Moose might as well.

Moose comes up with plenty of big plays.

(3) Julius Peppers - Fox loves Peppers, and want's him at any price.

I don't think that's necessarily true. Peppers staying/going will depend on Peppers, no more, no less.

(5) Dwayne Jarrett - A new coach, with nothing invested in Jarrett, may cut him in favor of a WR with more speed.

I think they would keep him for at least one season to see how he works out in their scheme.

(6) John Kasey & Rhys Lloyd - A new coach may want 1 kicker that can do both jobs.

Kasay would retire if they gave him up and he would be viewed as the greatest player in Panther's history (seeing as... he's been here the whole time). Llyod puts a ton of his kicks all the way into the endzone; an important trait. I don't think they are necessarily at risk.
