How good would we be with a QB???

We would be 10-0 with a great QB, 8-2 with a good QB. We have some of the best supporting talent in the league, just not where we need it most(QB). No doubt in my mind we would have stomped on the Saints with a good QB and definitely would have stomped on the Bills. Cowboys would have been a W.

Best supporting cast in football? We're going to be fortunate to have a single Pro Bowler...

That is only because the black hole that is Jake's Talent has destroyed all of the potential Pro Bowlers ability.

Isn't the Pro Bowl in Miami, before the SB this year? Who in the hell wants to go to Miami in Febuary? They could barely talk them into Hawwai.q

And Delhomme makes them look like poo. We all know Steve Smith a pro bowler. Deangelo and Johnathan are badasses. Our o-line is one of the best run blocking lines in the league. We have versatile threats at TE. We are weak at WR but that's about it. But a good QB could work with that.

Two things:

First of all...I am and admitted Jake lover. I think the guy is a great leader..especially late in the game. And I'd love to see him be a great QB. But I know he's not.

Second...I understand that we would have to give up a lot to get a good QB. We would either have to draft one and take a chance that he's not a Ryan Leaf, David Carr, Brady Quinn bust...or we'd have to give up a lot via a trade to get one.

So with that said, I have the question in the subject line. How good would our football team be if we had a top 10 QB? I'm not talking a Peyton, Tom, or Drew. Just a Matt Schaub, Rothlisburger, Matt

Ryan, Eli, Romo, even Kevin Kolb.

Jake is an adequate QB at best. And a disaster at worst. My thoughts are that we are a QB away from being a real championship contender. How far am I off? That seems to be the only piece missing to me. I wouldn't even demand a new coach. I think Fox could make it happen. Just give us a QB. What all do you guys think we are missing?

On offense we need a big play threat at the #2 WR spot. I thought Moore would take the spot from Moose, but it hasn't happend. So we need to go get one in FA, or draft one. Of course Jake's ability has been fading for some time now, but it's finally hit rock bottom. We need to bring in several QBs who can 1.) Throw the deep ball well, and 2.) Make reads quicky. Bare minimum requirement. We're set at every other position. I could argue that we should pick up a veteran RT and move Otah to RG, but that's a minor issue. Otah is not a good pass blocker imo, but he's not going to kill us.

On defense we need an elite pass rushing DT to pair with Peppers. We need pressure from both the middle and sides of the pocket in order to consistanly generate pressure. I think we have everything else we need on defense, although an upgrade at nickle CB would be nice. Captain can't cover large recievers.

This is a QB driven league, so we need to make every effort to bring in the best possible QB. Trade multiple players, spend an unreal amount of money, make a pact with the devil, anything. I'm not interested in every watching Jake play QB again.

What's the point in a QB. Drafting a high round, high pick QB is like sweeping the dirt under the John Fox rug. There's a reason he doesn't draft certain players...he can't develop them. Does anyone on this board actually think that Fox could develop a QB? Look at Matt Moore?

Answer to the question is no, not until we get a new coach.

You can't develop something when there's nothing to develop

You know I hear this he can't develop a QB talk but he did take NO's trash scrub QB and turn him into the most successful QB in our history (and in his prime a damn good QB). That was more then likely due to Henning but you have to think, is Fox that bad at developing Moores talent or does he just not have much to work with. Its as the saying goes, you can't squeeze water from stone.

Tell that to Tom Brady this season.

But we could have won against the Saints if we run the ball more & if DeAngelo didn't fumble on the play that got the Saints D a touchdown.

But, Matt Moore sucks. that is why he was on the PS in Dallas....and is 3rd string here.

Get off the Matt Morre is the answer train.....it didn't leave the station...it never arrived.

Bullshit we would have. All we did was run the ball that game and we were becoming way too predictable. That game was not on Deangelo. ******* piss scared baby poo QB protective play calling cost us the game.

If the Saints can go 10-0 with a good QB so can we.
