Myles Turner

We give up Hayward and PJ and receive Turner and Levert. The money almost matches up perfectly. We could throw in a first if we have to, but this would fix our problem down low and give us a really exciting year.

Melo/Ish

Rozier/Martin

Oubre/Levert

Bridges/McDaniels

Turner/Plumlee

PJ and a first or Rozier and a first is all I'd be willing to trade. The Pacers can have Plumlee just as a freebie.

No way in hell I'm giving them Terry and a first.

If we're talking Terry and a first Sabonis better be involved in that conversation.

I’ll say it also hurts not having our first round pick to use… unless everyone will be okay with offering Kai.

You’d have think that the Pacers would want Washington and some combination of draft picks. Since we don’t have draft picks they’d be looking at Bouknight (untouchable) and Jones.

Would the Hornets be willing to part with Washington, Jones, and Plumlee (salary filler) for Turner and a 2nd round pick?

PG - Ball, Smith

SG - Rozier, Martin, Bouknight

SF - Hayward, Oubre, Lewis

PF - Bridges, McDaniels, Thor, Kubolka

C - Turner, Richards, Carey

That’s quite a bit to give up… but a solid looking roster.

A rebuilding team is not taking Hayward’s contract.

You can’t rebuild when the guy you are trading for has more years on his contract than the guys you are trading out.

Good lord some of you are severely overvaluing Myles Turner. The guy plays 30+ minutes a game and can't even average a double double and he's 7 feet tall. He has like 10+ games this season where he didn't even grab 5 rebounds and that is currently one of our biggest weaknesses. He's also terrible on the offensive glass.

It’s not how we evaluate him, it how the Pacers value him. He’s been in the block for forever and never gotten moved. That should tell you all you need to know… it wouldn’t be cheap.

Anyone thinking otherwise is delusional.

No chance I trade a player of Gordon’s caliber for Myles Turner. Even with his bloated contract. He is too important to this young team currently.

If we are talking Sabonis, that’s a completely different conversation.

Myles Turner is basically PJ if he was 4 to 5 inches taller. PJ is sacrificing stats to help the team currently. He’s clearly not a five and isn’t as good as Bridges who’s taken control of the starting 4 spot.

PJ fits really well next to Sabonis on the Pacers and Turner is a much better fit at the 5 for the Hornets.

PJ + Plumlee/Mcdaniels and a first is about all I’d be willing to give up for Turner and that’s just because decent 7footers are way more valuable than 3 and D stretch 4s currently.

Ideally I would have loved to get a guy like Jarrett Allen but unfortunately we couldn’t get involved last year to help facilitate the Harden trade.

I respect your opinion but I would trade Hayward straight up for Turner in a second.  Turner is right on the cusp of greatness and this dude is one of the best defensive centers in the league.  He would fit us perfectly.  I do like Hayward but Turner makes this team really tough

With Turner you hope the offense keeps developing but he is a great defender.  Would love to get him here and I would even give up Bouknight which really don’t want to do

Yeah and I hope we are not willing to overpay just because the Pacers think he is worth more than he actually is. He's been on the block forever because other teams aren't dumb enough to give up what the Pacers want. It's a two way road.

His actual value is pretty much a Player of PJ's caliber, who is trending to be about on par with Turner's current skill level and a pick since Turner is a 7footer.

Pacers on the other hand are acting like the guys is a 5 time All-Star.

Hey I agree, PJ straight up is all I’d offer.

Unfortunately the Pacers are creating a bidding war and someone will do something stupid.

I also respect yours but the guy isn't anywhere close to being one of the best defensive centers in the league. He is a great shot blocker but he gets taken to school more times than not against skilled centers. He just got worked the other night by Daniel Gafford ffs.

Also there's a reason his rebounding numbers suck.

Well giving them Terry is another matter.  Dude could be an all star soon.  Agree Terry included is a big stretch

You don’t value Myles as much…thats fine.  My last trade didn’t include Hayward since I don’t see the Pacers wanting him.  Better yet.  We win now and they rebuild.  I was never a huge Bouknight fan tbh

BTW…Sabonis coming here would be retarded.  I never even considered that as a possible option.  That guy is a fuggin amazing scorer

    • The bottom lines to me are that a) we played well enough to beat the best team in the league and b) Bryce Young is growing into a bridge QB role (his ceiling) for us. As much as I don't want BY around after the season, it seems DC can still build the O with a game manager at QB for now. Best case scanario, we can build the D through the draft this year and take a QB we have conviction outside the 1st this or next draft. If BY keeps improving, we are going to win a couple more games this year.
    • Bryce has been a completely different QB since coming back. That started in Denver where it was obviously he was playing a lot more loose and willing to push the ball downfield  Bryce continues to build off of the previous weeks performance and that’s what you want to see Bryce has been making some real good anticipation throws. Reading defenses well. Pushing the ball downfield (7 throws of 20+ air yards yesterday. 8 if you want to include PI to Thielen). The deep ball accuracy has been there. Some of Young’s best throws yesterday were incompletions. Sideline balls to XL and Moore both should’ve been caught. RZ dot to Tremble should’ve been caught. And another RZ ball to Moore that Young gave him a chance at. Bryce is starting to execute Canales offense and yesterday Canales finally opened it up a bit. Canales was to blame for the 126 passing yards in Germany as he played a more conservative game.  The next bit I’m looking for his for Young to be a bit more decisive with running the ball. Start putting that on film and it’ll help open things up a tad
    • This KC team isn't the juggernaut it once was.  How many one score games have they won this season?  How many of those one score wins would probably have been loses if Mahomes wasn't the QB?  Their secondary is vulnerable and it was obvious today.  Grandpa Thielen was able to get open at will all game long. Bryce played well, but thinking this is the exact same KC defense Young was able to move the ball against as last year isn't going to compute.  Last year's KC defense was #2 overall.  They have regressed. I've said it before, Bryce can move the ball before the red zone, but once there, he struggles.  He is not a threat with his legs and the passing windows get much tighter.  He's not turning the ball over, so that is a great place to start and build upon.  I still question much better he can get.  Beyond a game manager?  I highly doubt it.
