Two higher-up members of the Panthers front office have ties to Bills OC Brian Daboll.

Pat Stewart was with the Patriots when Daboll was the right ends coach from 2013 to 2016.

And of course, Dan Morgan was previously with the Bills. He and Daboll arrived in Buffalo the same offseason (2018).

Personally, I'd prefer Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett, but it's hard not to think those connections wouldn't at least potentially give Daboll an inside track on the job if (if) any changes are made.

Just something to think about...

Without going into too much detail, Lady Cowboy Fan is facing three upcoming surgeries. That's not the only thing going on mind you, but it's the biggest.

Between that and the other things, I haven't been up to talking football quite as much, but I'm still watching.

May be back to talk some more in coming weeks, but obviously my top priority right now is helping her.

So obviously my thoughts are going to be with you.

Lady Cowboy Fan is having kind of a rough time right now. I keep trying to get her to slow down and relax but she refuses. She's one of those people who only rests when she's exhausted, and there's always something that needs to be done right now.

I suppose I could be like that too if I wanted, but these days I find it's a lot easier to get exhausted than it used to be

Retaining both with dramatic change in power/responsibilities is certainly a possibility...

...but make no mistake about it, after all the bed shatting by the "football people",  going forward there's only one person will have "full control" over anything and that Mr. David Alan Tepper -- Owner.

As a complete aside, after a lengthy absence someone is back with an absolute vengeance, 183 posts in 2 days...

I'm gonna be honest, the biggest reservation I have about firing Matt Rhule is that David Tepper will be  heavily involved in hiring his replacement.

...because Tepper is the sole owner, the richest NFL owner, and he's gonna start himself in the control postion...and that will never change...

...but he'll get it right, count on it
