There was zero concern as to DWill's durability. A 4 year starter with 6000 rushing yards in his career.

There were some analysts that viewed him as too small to be a feature back in a John Fox style power running attack. That doesn't mean that he wasn't going to be successful in the league, just that they didn't think he was a good fit for the system. Fox had Davis at 240 & Foster at 225 then here comes Williams at a whopping 207 at the combine. Bouncing off the NFL's 300 pounder is a little different than what he was hitting at Memphis. I think the durability concern was a big reason for taking Stewart who is a better fit for the Fox RB mold.

Some football genius was probably saying the same thing about Deangelo Williams a couple of years ago.

Given the right circumstances, just like Williams, Stewart has the possibility to be great in this league.

He is already good as an RB2. If you were being totally objective, then you could easily say that Stewart jumped on the field running MUCH more effectively than Williams did in his first and second year.

Your backhanded dis of Stewart makes this thread unravel like the threads in the bottom hem of the cheap $5 polyester lion print shirts at your local "Five and Dime".
