Stewart showed exactly why we drafted him last night: So we will always have a credible threat at running back. And Sutton carries on with that need as well.

We are blessed, so incredibly blessed, to have DWill and Stewart as our RBs. To lose one would do nothing but hurt the other and shorten their playing days.

The high character values of both young men are something to be applauded again and again. There doesn't seem to be a shred of selfishness between them which is a refreshing thing in this league of "ME!" players.

We were missing both starting tackles with our RG in the LT place. The vikings were the lucky ones as who's not playing goes.I beleive they only have one player on IR.

only knock i have on stewart is he misses alot of holes,and sometimes he tries to go lateral which can be a wilcard at times(hit for a loss,gain of 10+).a little identy crisis at times

every pass to him ends up on the ground some how.

he fixes thoses and this guy is something special

Use him for what he is, a goal line and short-yardage situation back. Deangelo should be the one running on first down, and he should definitely be the one in the game on pass plays and on the draw plays. Stewart is a very good running back, but Deangelo needs more touches. He is our best player.

this post is dumb. Dwill has been incredibly more productive with stewart the facts dont lie.

Dwill isn't an every down back and stewart is too good to be a 35 year old jerome bettis situational back. However, they complement each other fantastically.

Stewart played a heck of a game. Hope he gets a shot at a 1000 yard year. Although that would give us a dubious distinction of being one of the few teams to have two 1000 yard rushers without having a winning season.

Right on the nose there...they split carries which also keeps them fresh.

Its great to have a smash mouth back later in the games to run all over a worn down defense.

Or I should say, the way we are using him makes him a liability. He is a great back, and I think he should see the ball a few times a game, but I don't think he should get the 10-15 carries he does over Deangelo. It's no secret that Williams gets better as the game goes on and does most of his magic in the second half (at least during the games that we are not behind and throwing every down) It seems like every game that Williams will rattle off a 12 yard run on first and ten and then check himself out for Stewart, only for Stewart to be stopped for two to four yards and all of a sudden Jake needs to throw the ball twice in order to convert. Our game against Miami was a prime example of this happening. Deangelo needs to get into a rhythm and when Stewie comes in after every good run it just hurts that rhythm.
