A game that was never more than a one possession score for either team saw us throw more times than run with a QB that was on his couch 10 days ago making his first start this season

please tell me how that is justifiable

The offense still produced in spite of the OL and Brady's cute play calling. I'm not worried about offensive production with Cam and CMC leading the offense with their supporting cast of skill players. 20+ points on a bad day and 30+ points on a good day.

The defense has the talent to pressure, but that secondary is not good enough to lock down for 6 seconds with no pressure on the QB. Snow's game plan and underestimating his opposing QB was the big problem against the WFT.

Cam kept the RPO and in some cases should not have. The defense started to key in on that later in the game. Not really fair to say CMC only had 10 carries.

Yeah, they need to work on that. Cam's running needs be more of a threat than an actual 50/50 share.

Yea there was room outside they showed at least one and if you watch the game again you actually see a couple more where not keeping it is the better option. Gotta get back used to the game speed and reads but that will happen regardless I think as the QB won't always make the correct call 100% of the time.

Agree 100%.  This is why I don't want to see as much read option.  I love Cam, he's become a really solid decision maker in the passing game.  However, we've got CMC and I would much rather see him with the ball in the run game.  Cam may get you 3-5 yards, but CMC could break it for 20+ at any time.

I think this is the problem.  In the past, Cam was our biggest running threat.  Now, on the read option, if I'm the DC I tell my guys to take away CMC and let Cam do it.  It lets you as a defense punish the QB and keep the ball out of the hands of the best back in football.  That seems like defense 101 to me.

It seemed there was holding called on every nice rhythm run we had. And to an inexperienced coordinator, its like oh well on to something else. You have to keep at it, especially if you want that to be your identity.
