Jackson isn't good, but is highly overrated by a lot of fans because he made some tackles in a few games and showed more effort earlier in the season. Extending him would be a huge mistake. And the Panthers will probably make it too.

That said, this wasn't totally on him. Bouye is average to slightly above average at best and the younger guys in the secondary just aren't there yet either. And as with Ron's Panther teams, the safeties leave a lot to be desired when it comes to coverage.

The defensive front has the same problem that those Manning Colt teams had. Their smaller size lets teams run on them at will.
