Agreed. TBH, I think we should keep MJ too. If those guys can be solid, we only need 2 more starters and maybe 5 more backups.

Lost in the mix was how well they performed. Having PJ and Cam back there was really great but the line protected them with the same guys different places.

One of them holding calls wasn't holding. The defender fell on his own and Daley fell as well. The ref must f thought that Daley took him down which he didn't.

Honestly, the sacks and pressure were partly Darnold's fault. He couldn't make quick enough decisions, hence his Time To Throw being so high. Definitely not all of them but he didn't help matters by not being able to hit open guys.

That is why I said PJ would be more decisive(which he had been the past two years) than Sam. Might not be the right read or a safe throw but he is much more decisive than Darnold was.

Looked decent, still not holding my breath on how long he will be healthy tho.

Why the fug is Daley still at LT, there has to be a player on a practice squad that can beat him out.

Darnald is a broken QB. His problems are enumerable but he didn't cause the Center to let lose his man almost every play. That's on Paradis. PJ had actual time in the pocket yesterday and that's not been the norm. Not to mention we punched holes in the Run game and that has zero to do with Darnald.

There was time last week too. There was time when Sam was here. 

Like I said, in hindsight, I expect more and more off our offensive issues are going to end up landing squarely at his feet.

Time will tell.

Elflein was the top Center in the 2017 draft. He won the Rimington Trophy. He got injured and then bumped to guard when the Vikings drafted Bradbury in the 1st. He's got a legit pedigree and has been dealing with injuries and playing out of position for years now. Hopefully he can end up settling in and return to his former self. That would be huge for us. I don't want to see Paradis play another down for the Panthers. Nice guy, just not a good NFL center.

As with every year since Gross retired, LT is a revolving door journeymen who at best are average and mostly poo.   Daley's penalties hurt more than anything yesterday and the game plan to get the ball out quick helped him.  If we ever want to stretch the field more than a few times a game, this needs to be addressed permanently.  Jordan is playing better as been mentioned.  Hopefully this isn't short lived and he's actually growing into a better guard.

Like I said Sam had nothing to do with the inept run game and that falls squarely on the line. Stop blaming one person for multiple problems. Just be happy there was a solution found.
