The dude had a bit of a rough start on his first week with us against the aints but since then he has been money  and topped it off with a 57 yarder last week in a loss that had nothing to do with his accuracy.  He hit every kick he made today pretty much dead center.  I'm feeling relieved about us picking him up - I think he has turned the corner on his past and I think he could make a solid addition to our team long term on special teams.

His confidence is riding high and he is now nailing every kick right down the middle. I’m very impressed by Zane.

I absolutely hated the pickup when it was first announced. Seen too much of his past to think he would change at this point. Cost his teams so many games with missed kicks. Gotta give credit where it is due, dude has been absolute MONEY. I forgot who quoted me in the game thread, but he said that kickers are random, and sometimes it takes being on their 3rd or 4th team to finally "figure" it out. That's how we landed Gano. God knows we are due for some kicker luck.

An acquaintance of mine from a Cardiff. A very funny and nice gentleman. If you have never seen the movie Twin Town give it a go….him and his brother are stars

I also like your username.

Soccer has always been my first love, played it and coached it all my life. The individual I coach under played for the youth Welsh national team and is a brilliant sports mind. The guy has more licenses then I can count.

He’s also pretty damn funny, I laugh my ass off when he gets in a mood and starts calling people sheep shaggers.

Where do you coach? Us Welsh have a great sense of humor, built around our mining community’s, rugby clubs and pubs.

I coach for a club team and high school team in central Virginia. The individual I coach under has tons of UEFA licenses and is working on his USSF licenses right now. I believe he just finished his B license so I’m hopeful that when he moves on to the college ranks I’ll just tag along.

He’s told me he’ll bring me to Wales the next time he goes home so I’m pretty excited about that.

Sample size is still too small.  He kicked very well yesterday.  No doubt.

However, over his career, Zane has been Joey Slye.  If he's going to turn into John Kasay, I'm here to see it, but he needs to continue to hit those <50 yard shots consistently to get there.
