I've listened to it.

He didn't say he created a toxic locker room.

He said he was hard on Cam and they were afraid Cam would be stunted by it.

That Steve held people to the same high standards he held himself too and that it was going to be hard on you if you didn't meet them.

That Steve wanted to win Now and Cam being a rookie was making too many mistakes.

And I can guarantee you this Cam was complicit in that situation. There are clips on the sideline of Steve trying to teach Cam and Cam completely ignoring him like some entitled punk.

I'm sorry but no rookie QB or not gets to act entitled towards Vets especially a Hall of Famer.

Whatever your fascination is with Steve, your conclusions are just wrong. Steve was an asshole, straight up. He was a toxic person. Hell, Steve even kept bitching at Delhomme.  After all the stories that came out about him when he left and others personal encounters with him and even a few that had inside knowledge, the evidence is against him. He stunted the growth of others around him. Ever wonder why we developed no other WRs during his tenure here or another QB even? He most certainly had a part in it. Cam had already been around Steve, he was the #1 pick and the franchise QB. You better believe that irked Steve as it took the spotlight off of him. If Cam didn't want to listen to Steve, he had good reason to.

Man, the Cam Stan's are Stanning hard I tell ya what. If Cam doesn't light it up, this place could be on suicide watch.

On second thought, this place will be in "Build an Excuse Land". lol

You show your true colors posting this after disappearing for days following Sam's meltdown against the Patriots.

Who cares? I would rather watch our own talent anytime than to watch someone else's first round failures fail on our team. fug Teddy and Sam and whoever else they thought could replace Cam because the reality is we were just as competitive with hurt Cam as we were with either of those 2 guys.

You have made excuses for everyone on this team but now that Cam comes back you post this crap.

Likely confirms the intention was always to ultimately retire Cam's number IMO.

This is interesting considering Tepper told Steve Smith to his face on air that he doesn’t retire numbers.

Tepper making an exception for Cam and #1 is a big deal.

Honestly though. #1 should be retired with Cam.

I don't think it means he was going to retire the number just to say to hold off on using it. Regardless, the point is Tepper never had some dislike of Cam and wasn't removing him from banners. That's just stupid Twitter poo that too many people fell for.

Most of this anti Tepper stuff has been baseless and the result of the teams win-loss record and how people feel about billionaires.

People just like making up stories to justify how they feel.

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
