Game Atmosphere

I got asked to sit down for the first time ever and im in the upperdeck..ridculous, i was pissed.. this game remided me alot of the bills game, because alot of bills fans showed up as well, i think bills fans had a better showing...but the east endzone was filled with dolphin fans chanting "lets go dolphins"...On a side note i did catch a pretty good fight with about 1:35 left on the clock down by the bathrooms and smoking section near 535 and the panther fan was the victor of the fight, so that was pretty cool

Went to the game last night. 1st game ive been to since the Philly game.

I have to say that was my least favorite game ive been to at BoA. Everything about it was weird. I thought the atmosphere totally sucked. I felt no energy in that stadium, or even outside the stadium before the game.

I thought the game sucked as well.

I was totally expecting a jacked up crowd, and a jacked up panthers team and fully expected them to win convincingly.

Anyone else think the atmosphere sucked?

The big problem to me is what somebody said in another post..... "To many dolphin fans". It has been like that all season, and I feel worse than it has been for years. EVERY GAME!!, the stadium has been FULL of other teams fans. It almost feels like we are the visiting fan base. I find this has a big negative effect.

The other big problem is all the empty seats at every game. For all the great fans we have, the overall fan base here is horrible. And finally the leaving early - last night with 8 minutes left down by 10pts people were leaving. I dont care how bad Jake was, etc - We have all seen teams score that many points with that much time on he clock.

Again, I mainly think it comes back to so many fans for other teams being in the stadium. It sucks.

well they didnt all buy those PSL's.

I left early, but it was after Williams last TD. So i missed the fieldgoal and last drive. I knew there was a chance they could come back, and i figured my leaving gave them the best chance.:D

When I heard the dolphins chants I knew it was time to turn it off and head to bed.

Our stadium is always full of opposing team fans this is nothing new. Once all of us 20+ somethings have kids...maybe we can help turn the tide but im still 10-15 years away from that haha.

Well at leasst you weren't in that large mass of fans that left when there was 8 minutes left and they were only down by 10. Not sure where you sit but I was yelling and booing at all of them.

It was an embarassing display...a Dolphins fan sitting near me was laughing so hard I wanted to dump a drink on him, but at least he was supporting his team. Rather dump a drink on all the fans who left early.

haha...funny you say that. I dont have season tickets of course, but last night i was in 203. I think it was about the time you are saying, and the group of fans in front of us got up and started to leave...i heckled them with "Booo BAD FANS!!, BAD FANS!" pointing at them....people thought i was crazy. I just did it for fun...i could care less if they left.

But sheesh, you pay that much for a ticket, when the game is far from being decided and leave? i dont get it. They must not watch much NFL football.

This might be a no brainer to some....

Charlotte is full of people from other parts of the country who moved there for a better life, job opportunities, and climate. They're still loyal to their teams, therefore going to a Panthers game is the only way they can see their team play in person. I believe that's why the Carolina Panthers franchise has been so successful, because of opposing fans desire to see their team play. It seems that the Panther fanbase is building with the younger generation. Hopefully it will continue to build.
