Does Cam get a long term deal if he plays well the rest of the season?

This whole 1 year prove it deal is 2 years late tbh because we should have gone into the 2020 season giving him a chance to show he’s healthy

but say he looks to be in his 2018 form, do we even have a choice at that point to NOT resign him knowing we could easily be back in QB purgatory going forward if we let him walk?

If he plays well Im sure we are looking at a 4 year deal with void options after year 1. Basically 4 1 year deals.

No, maybe another 1 year deal to mentor the rookie we take in the draft, but I can't foresee a long term deal regardless

To be honest I don’t know. With this group of in our FO we could have Donkey Kong as our starting QB next season….

Yes.  If he plays well you bring him back.  You then draft a kid.  Let him learn behind Cam.  Obviously you don't give Cam a mega deal.  But you pay him very well in short increments. 

Basically what we should of done this whole time.  Kept Cam.  Paid him well on shorter contracts as we monitored his health.  Drafted Fields.   Fields learns behind Cam in an offense that would have already been slanted to what you would want to do with Fields.

I’m totally done.  Take all my poo, my collection, almost 3 decades of jerseys all the way back to Frank Reich and up to JayCee.  My photos, my autographs, my inaugural coin, my Death Valley ticket stubs, my sideline Gatorade cup from the ‘13 game in ATL when we won the division, the books, the cards, the programs.

I was hoping for him to take a long term mentor role for a rookie we take in the draft. I'm not sure how we could even draft one tho and adequately address the oline. 

Do not let Darnold or PJ anywhere near our young talent.
