Matt Rhule's contract won't save him

Every HC we have had got us into the playoffs by year 3.  Nothing suggests Rhule has us on that track.  The only one who didn't was shown the door. 

Well we still have year 3. Also, all of our previous coaches had a franchise quarterback. 

1. Kerry Collins
2. Jake Delhomme
3. Cam Newton

If Rhule gets one this offseason, then I'm sure we are back in the playoffs. This team only has two glaring holes. OL and QB. It's not like Rhule is out there throwing picks himself. Again, the FO tried to shortcut the process, it didnt work out. However, there is no other reason to consider firing him. Tepper is an investor and he is going to monitor his investment.

I haven't seen Rhule trying to save himself yet. He is over his head and drowning. 

At this point I think a firing would be a mercy move and less of running him out of town.

The Panthers players will determine Rhule's fate.  If they lose faith in him, Rhule is as good as gone at the end of this season.  If they keep the faith, Rhule has one more season to get it right.  There will be no fourth chance, unless Tepper enjoys seeing BOA stadium overrun with opponents fans.

The same folks who are saying Rhule is over his head and needs to be fired, are the same who said:

1. Brian Burns is a bust and never willl be a NFL DE
2. Shaq Thompson is a bust
3. Not resigining Curtis Samuel was a mistake
4. Donte Jackson should get cut, he is garbage
5. CMC will never be able to run between the tackles and is just a WR
and so much more....

All knowledgeless impatient and emotional comments. There is so much we don't know but we act like we are confucious.

The “confucious” were also telling us Darnold can be our guy in the off-season…..

Well I for sure was one that was hoping. Bummer that he wasnt, because that would have been quite the chess move. However, it appears its not going to work out that way. Not all risks pay off.

Yeah probably Brady leaving would buy Rhule enough time to make it through next year. No improvement next year would like likely but not for sure lead to his job.

Seifert didn’t but he was gone after year 3.
