Argument against starting Matt Moore...

At what point has Matt Moore gotten a chance to prove anything? The one chance he had he went 2-1, sounds pretty good to me.

Can Matt more read double coverage? can he throw the ball with any accuracy? can he move around in the pocket to buy time? If he can do any 2 of the 3 then he's an upgrade.

At this point, what do we have to lose by giving Moore one start? Give the kid a start and see what he does with it. If he does badly, then give the next one to Feeley and see what he can do with it?

When your a backup you take advatage of the oppurtunties. And those are practise and preseaon and film study. He's had two years to show somthing there to prove at the very least he derseves the 2nd string spot.

Were still in the playoff hunt. Yes as a fan is very doubtfull, but as a coach you play who you think is best chance to win until your mathmatically eliminated. Then you can expirement.

Matt more has had two years two prove he was worth somthing. And eventaully lost his job to Mccown.

Sorry, you're wrong. Matt Moore was hurt last year, thats why McCown was #2. We all know Fox prefers Vets, he's said it himself. So coming into this year, Fox still had McCown as #2. How many games has McCown started and won here? Moore has won 2 and almost 3 if not for the refs. There was a point this year Moore was the #2 in the last couple of preseason games. But when Jake got hurt this year, you know Fox is going to go with his vet.

you sound like john fox!! are you seriosly still trying to defend delhomme? what will it take? another 4 int game. you, and panthers55 and delhommey are in the same boat as fox. you want jake to come back to form and have stuck all your eggs in his basket. now that he still stinks. you guys are too prideful to admit you were wrong.

With the way we're playing, a 4-6 record, and opponents like the Patriots, Vikings and Saints coming up, you honestly think we have a shot at the playoffs?

I honestly don't consider it experimenting. It's clear at this point that Jake is not the answer at QB, we need to find the answer and we have two guys sitting on the bench right now that at one time or another have demonstrated they can play - so let's give each of them an honest shot and see what happens? One way or another, we need to find out what we've got at QB besides Jake so we can prioritize our needs in the offseason. The only way we're going to find out is to put them out there.

What has Jake done to prove he should be our starter right now?

All Jake has done so far is prove that we should be strongly considering other options. How long are we going to try and playcall around a guy that clearly can't get it done on a consistent basis anymore?

:iamwithstupid: bingo

Matt moore was hurt last year. So he had the whole offseason to prove he was better then Mccown.

If Fox "loves his vets", then why not Moore? He's a vet and knows Fox alot longer. He started Moore behind Jake in 2008 without a 'vet' in front of him. So Fox at one point liked Moore an gave him a chance. Which he lost in the offseason of 2009.

Is not that he loved vets so much, but Moore has done nothing to prove he earned it.

7 yr vet > 2 yr vet that was hurt the previous year

That's the way Fox sees it despite Moore HAS proven that he earned the #2 spot. I don't know why you keep spewing that bullsh*t. What has McCown proven to be the #2? He hasn't started and won games for us and he was terrible in preseason.

So was Matt Moore. Fox has seen Moore and Mccown for a whole offseaon of practises, presaon tape, film room. Moore had the advatage of playing in the system and extra year. How is it BS? What part of my argument has no logic sence to it? Is it that hard to belive that our third string QB is just bad?

The injury wasnt even season ending.
