So much for the "football guys", it seems Tepper was right. Can you imagine how he's feelin? I bet he's just like a steam engine whose pressure gauge is in the red. That bald head is probably Devil red, and it ain't from sunburn.

I forgot about Tepper, and how it had been rumored he wanted Fields while his coaches went another direction. He deferred to his coaches.

Yea, I know he’s hot tonight. Honestly, the whole coaching staff and front office should be out the door. Like it’s been said, we have officially been set back due to the decision to go with Darnold and not pick Fields. Not only did we not pick him, but we have given up draft picks and it’s pretty much been all for naught. Heads gotta roll.

Most of the Huddle knew to pick Fields. Most of the Huddle was sketch on Darnold.

Who wants Matt Rhule and company making future personnel decisions and offering more costly contracts to underperforming players?

Time to put an end to the Matt Rhule era.

It’s like we took Marty Hurney and made him a head coach/GM combo.

You do you, but the older I get the more I can appreciate players on other teams.  Panthers will always be #1 but after 20+ years of this poo it helps to appreciate good players.

I was afraid Fields would be a bust, so I didn't want us to take him.  He's inconsistent with his accuracy, but when he's accurate he drops a dime.  He has star potential.

I can respect guys that have done it at a high level for a long time but still hate them and wish nothing but misery on them.

I'm a defensive guy. I was a pass rush specialist in HS and college. My whole life my favorite plays have been seeing QBs get destroyed.

I just don’t like QBs and I am never giving some rookie in the NFC we passed on one positive thing.

He is our enemy and if he becomes Joe Montana he stands directly between us and the Superbowl.

Fug him!!!

For the record I hated Montana and there's nobody I hate more than that mother loving piece of crap Steve Young. I hated his ass ten times more than Breese or Brady.

On an off note, I just realized that Credit One is one of the reasons that my credit score is 700+. They took a chance. So I'm sorry for calling Navarro an M-F-er. Still preferred the Fanatics dude though.

Honestly doesn't matter to me. Just want anyone but Tepper at this point. He clearly doesn't care about this organizations culture

Watching Fields tonight just really pours salt into the open wounds. The logical choice in last years draft. There for the taking, and we take a luxury CB. This is a total and complete disaster, and the real rebuild hasn’t even started yet. We take fields and even if we’re sitting at 1-7, if he looked like he did tonight, we’re all feeling ok with it. Go heavy in the draft on OL and man, we are all set for the next 5 years. Instead, we are as directionless as a rudderless boat with Sam Darnold as our QB. Sickening.

Rhule was wrong about Teddy. Rhule was wrong about Sam. That's enough to clean house.

Even if they didn't think Fields was going to be on the board at 8 so they traded for Darnold, you still gotta take Fields there. It could be 3-5 years before you get another opportunity to have a promising QB fall into your draft lap like that. And we have like 10 cornerbacks now

Lots of truth. It hurts.

    • Easily. To be able to plug in a backup LT without much drop off from your starter? That could mean the difference between playoffs or sitting at home in January. Good/serviceable smart young and healthy LTs that won’t lose you a ball game at reasonable $$ don’t just come along every day. Picture next year… the team is scrappy and competitive, 4 and 3 record, second place in the South. Morale is good. devastating run game that Let’s our marginal defense get plenty of rest. We play the Bucs and win, going to 5 and 3, but we lose Ickey to a high ankle sprain. Atl loses that week and are now at 5 and 3 as well. There is no Ickey and no BC because we let him go… and we go in to Atl the next week for a battle of first in the south. Week after that is the Jets…. Now they lose both by 10 and 3, respectively, and fall to 5 and 5 going in to their bye week. Atl is at 7 and 3. Out of typical Panthers desperation, they try to rush Ickey back in to the lineup with a saints game coming up…  Back to good old Panthers football, always playing catchup. Another season at .500 and the fans sadly rejoice in mediocrity, when playoffs were in reach. This team always overestimates its ability to pick up quality o line depth in the draft or FA and it always blows up in their faces. Like Chuba, I see him as being part of the core that Dan is trying to build. Work on his contract now and see if we can come out with something mutually beneficial. I’d consider 3 yrs at $25m to be very fair.
    • it would be great to have "double trouble" again, I even had a T- shirt for Williams and Stewart and the double trouble logo, was a great time to be Panthers fan. We shall see...
    • Sounds like a plan. Those are the teams we should be mimicking! lol
