 Because Fox is a complete moron. Enough said.

Did anyone watch the post game press conference with Foxy? Wonder what type of side stepping he did after that loss.

"well, we played a good team. there were some bright spots and we had some success. We'll take a look at the film and make adjustments.... blah blah blah

that has nothing to do w/ anything.....he has to work w/ what he has got. He played right into the weakness of this team last night...despite the strength being dominate and ready and avaliable. It was pathetic playcalling....that isn't debatable.

deciding to resign jake and not going after a QB in the offseason have nothing to with anything?..:shocked:CRA please stop whatever you are on.

So he's supposed to voluntarily and publically announce that he is a loser and is doing more harm to the team than good... What would you think if you were a teammate and your leader threw in the towel? Come on.

Does Delhomme suck? He sure has this year.. and did for at least one play last night. But Jake isn't solely to blame last night.. to suggest he was is stupid.

He didn't let them convert a 3rd and 18 and then a 3rd and 9 to score.. he can't block their D-line as they smacked around our O-line. He didn't suck nuts at punt coverage or allow them to begin one scoring drive on our 29 due to a shanked punt.

The problems with this team are far more serious than one player.

Well we can agree to disagree. Jake HAS BEEN great for our team but the sun is setting on his career. I really do feel that any other team and coaching staff would have already benched him

resigning Jake is not an excuse for what occured last night. The ground game was there and would have taken us to another win. Davidson elected to put the game on Jake shoudlers....that is a piss poor job by Davidson. You have to play with the cards you have been dealt....Davidson is dealt one of the the best run blocking OLs and RB duos in the NFL.....Davidson has routinely opted to put the games in the hands of a below average QB.....

Can't argue with that.. I think Fox has hitched his trailer to Jake so tightly that benching him would constitute a huge failure for Fox - and apparently he is not prepared to do this - even if it means his job.

We've all seen Moore play and I'm not sure there are any other options on the roster better than Jake.

I have a bigger issue with the 42 pass attempts than Jake tossing an INT.. I realize we need to mix the run with the pass, but Jesus. Why are we chucking the ball on 3rd and 1? If we didn't trust the line without Gross on the short week, why not put Jake in the gun? Call slants and quick hitters against the 2 man?

I just don't get the playcalling.

Davidson has been dealt one of the worse at the most important postion on the field..

Not arguing against that.....

but again, he has also been dealt would could be the best ground game in the NFL.......and he has leaned more on his bad QB to win games than the ground game. That is poorly playing your hand.

I knew this game was over when they passed 3 times on 1st and goal on the first drive.

+1 It was painful to watch that series, because it let any fan of this team know that it was back to the same mentality that got them into that 0-3 hole at the beginning of the season. These coaches are bunch of morons.

13 carries is piss poor for a running team....that being said on some passes we just couldn't execute right. not knowing when to step up or out the pocket, and just heaving the ball out hurts us.this goes on delhomme.smitty and other wr were open but jake couldnt get it to them

I think Davidson was trying to take advatage of the young cornerbacks. I honeslty dont blame him. There were several 10-15 yard throws that were dropped. And Jake missed on a couple deepballs by a hair. If there was a little better execution we mightve had a better game.

If this was true, Fox and Davidson should have adjusted after halftime after seeing Jake was having a bad game and D-Will was on fire.

    • What's wrong with what he wants to do? Going to the wrong organization can ruin your career. Many of you would do the same if you could dor your son's.
    • I think they should just end the drama and tell him he's playing for his next team. Full stop. This week to week "do they, don't they", "will they, won't they" stuff is crazy.  Maybe Shanahan will trade one of their 3rds for him rather than pay Purdy the big dollars--he's certainly on the list of coaches I think would say, "They're just not using him right". Plus Lynch already knows the Panthers' price list. Bryce can head back home to California and Carolina can continue its neverending quest to replace Cam.
