Timing is off on the throws and usually late. Sometimes Sam gets a guy killed, sometimes they get the ball out of step and drop it, sometimes it’s a lack of concentration by the receiver. It’s hard to evaluate when the quarterback play is so bad. No sense in criticizing the receivers until they have a NFL caliber player throwing them the ball.

Not long ago we used to say all we wanted the O to do was not turn the ball over... That's why PJ isn't playing

PJ has been atrocious this year. Only reason he didn't start is whatever he showed in practice, IMO. If he was better he wins this job.

You're one for my favorite posters here, mav, but I have to disagree here.  Politics play a role in everything, even with all prior allegiances considered between the staff and their college connections, and they have money and picks invested in Darnold being THE GUY.  They have nothing of the sort invested in PJ.
