Play calling was fine.IMO

All of you are arguing for the same point. Jake is the issue in both situations. our play calling looks horrible because he or our offense cant execute in the passing game. and we run a 1950's offense because jake sucks. the d held them to 14 points into the 4 quarter! that should be enough to win.

you guys should have watch the game on nfl.com they had jamie dukes and bucky brooks and mike mayock breaking down the game on each play. They all blamed the coaches on this one, especially john fox.

what is sad is that thru , the 3rd quarter, i think we were about as balanced a team as anyone could ask. i think they said 28 rushing attempts and 28 passing attempts and we still only score 3 points. if i told you any other team was doing that you would think they were having a good day.

Execution was a large part of it.

There were several balls 10- 15 yards out that were dropped. Jake slightly over threw deep balls that would gotten us touchdowns. We had two straight balls dropped when were 1st and goal.

As for the 42. You guys act like we threw it all day over running. We only starting throwing alot late in the 4th quarter. And it was that that got us the touchdown.

this first drop to Moose was a poor ball to catch, the 2nd to Smith was in the dirt.

also, that is not true....Jake was on pace after the 1st half to go 30+ throws. The run game was destroying them but the coaches were calling passes.

first two offensive series we attempt more passes than runs in each.

Smith catch was diffcult , but both were still couldve been caught.

As said the above poster, I believe we had 28 passes and 28 runs through the third.

going into the half

15 running plays called, 20 passing plays called. The run from the opening drive was money......yet they went pass heavy w/ a bad QB.

5 more passes are pass heavy? As said before there were sevral dropped balls and barley missed passes. If exection was slightly better, those 20 wouldve really helped.

With the talent we have (particularly at QB) you think the play calling was fine?

3rd and 1 Jake goes back to pass to Smith (a deep pass, VERY low percentage play for Jake)

1st and goal on the 7, 3 consecutive pass plays...

These are just the highlights of poor play calling.

for the 1st half? with a run game like ours? with a QB like ours? Yes, that is WAY to pass heavy for this team.

being at 50/50 would have been dumb.

    • What's wrong with what he wants to do? Going to the wrong organization can ruin your career. Many of you would do the same if you could dor your son's.
    • I think they should just end the drama and tell him he's playing for his next team. Full stop. This week to week "do they, don't they", "will they, won't they" stuff is crazy.  Maybe Shanahan will trade one of their 3rds for him rather than pay Purdy the big dollars--he's certainly on the list of coaches I think would say, "They're just not using him right". Plus Lynch already knows the Panthers' price list. Bryce can head back home to California and Carolina can continue its neverending quest to replace Cam.
