Play calling was fine.IMO

Why didn't we run the no huddle stuff with Jake calling the plays that worked so well against ATL? There was none of that after the first drive. Pretty stupid to bail on what works.

I thought there was still some of that.

anyway so many missed tackles and our D line getting worked I think is what lost us the game.

27 rushing attempts vs. 42 passing attempts from a team that built to run the ball.

average gain per passing play 4.4.

average gain per rushing play 6.7.

this looks like poor play calling.

passing the ball on 3rd and 1 with stewart in the backfield...

...poor play calling. i don't care if it is steve smith you're passing the ball to.

passing the ball on any down and goal when you have double trouble in the backfield...

...poor play calling.

i can go on and on.

if i had a nickel for every time i said "what the devil are they doing?" last night....

that is Fox talk. Fox could call 8 consecutive hail marys to start the game and say it was just a matter of not executing them.

Both RBs averaged over 5 yards/carry in the 1st half and were destroying the Phins. Fox again opted to go back to what got the team in this mess and deserted the ground game opting for Jake to be the hero. Miami did not dictate that.....Fox just did it. Should have been up big in the first half if the PLAYCALLING played to the strengths of what we do and what was working.

OL was great in run blocking and the RBs were awesome.......Fox turned his back on that. That isn't good playcalling.

He then went to the weakest aspect of the offense for no reason...over and over. Jake proved all year he can't make the plays. He opted for Jake and forced the OL (which had just been shaken up) to go into pointless pass protection. That isn't good playcalling.

Arguably the best ground game in the NFL. 2 redzone attempts....1 run play called. That isn't good playcalling.

The playcalling was fine for the most part...it was execution that was the problem.thats been the problem all season.

No. Jake should not throw 40 times. When he already threw for 20 times going into the 3rd quarter that should have been how many he threw at the end of the game.

Don't sit there and tell me it was "fine" playcalling when we stopped running the ball where DWill was averaging 9 yards a run. Don't tell me it made sense to keep passing, where we were averaging less yards per pass play than a run play! Get out of here.....

keep deangelo in the game more....let them trade series and not 2 plays after another...deangelo is by far the superior back

    • What's wrong with what he wants to do? Going to the wrong organization can ruin your career. Many of you would do the same if you could dor your son's.
    • I think they should just end the drama and tell him he's playing for his next team. Full stop. This week to week "do they, don't they", "will they, won't they" stuff is crazy.  Maybe Shanahan will trade one of their 3rds for him rather than pay Purdy the big dollars--he's certainly on the list of coaches I think would say, "They're just not using him right". Plus Lynch already knows the Panthers' price list. Bryce can head back home to California and Carolina can continue its neverending quest to replace Cam.
